duratracs are nice. Just remember they have a 2-ply sidewall. Still a great, reliable tire, but they're not going to be as tough as a M/T. I think they'll be fine for your needs, just keep that in mind when you're aired down headed for jagged rocks.

I love the Big O AT, much better than the BFG AT I had on my cruiser...I also ran the Big O AT on my cruiser. I have them on my 04 4runner and on my Tundra.

I've run BFG AT's, the older MTR's, and the new red letter Grabber MT's.

MTR's have suspect sidewalls, especially once they have some use on them, but I have no idea how the Kevlar's hold up.

The AT's are a fantastic snow tire, but they get gummed up pretty quickly in the mud.

The Grabber's, while I don't much like the look of them, are super stout. The sidewall on them was significantly thicker than the MTR's that they replaced, and they worked really well on the rocks and in the mud. They also handled a lot better as speed, but part of that additional stability might be attributed to the 17" wheel vs the 15" wheels I had the MTR's on.

I also like the look of the duratrac's, but if they are 2 ply sidewalls, I think I'll pass.

For me, I'm looking at the Grabbers and the KM2's for my 2010 Tacoma. I'll probably end up with the KM2's since the grabbers aren't offered in my desired size for a 17" rim, and I don't think I want to spring for new wheels. If they were in a 285/70/17, I'd take them.

I wish the grabbers were in more sizes too...I really really like those tires!!! I would have those on my FJ Cruiser in a heartbeat.

^lol

I have seen and only heard good things about the GY duratrack's. They are also the only AT that is Winter rated IIRC. I want to run them on my "someday tow rig"

Grabbers are offered in a 33 12.50 17, only slightly wider than your desired size
