whats it worth

my father in law inherited a 1976 cj7 renagade levi edition. the jeep is completly stock exept for a 30 gal. gas tank and a winch. now for the cool part the jeep has been stored in side the whole time and is in almost perfect condition and has 15000 original miles. the motor is a 304, or 360 not sure with a 400 trans and the quadratrack transfercase. it even has a/c not one speck of rust on this thing. so what do you think it's worth if he wants to sale it? thanks

Wow!! I would call a local shop that specializes in classic cars. 8 or 9 years back I ran into an original FJ40 owner, his was in mint condition and was appraised at $17k.

Trying to sell something like that in Utah would be very difficult. It would probably apraise for 12-15k. But that can be completly different than what it could be sold for. The real world value of classic cars has gone down the toilet. Just the same lucky he is a lucky sucker

Its only worth what someone would pay for it. If hes not gonna sell it, why bother to appraise it. You dont have to appraise it to appreciate it.

An appraisal is a good thing for insurance. Or, just insure it for an agreed value and be done with it.
