I really need a spare tire.
Does anyone in the Salt Lake valley carry a Maxxis Creepy 37x12.50x16? Not that i've called every 4x4 shop or anything. There are a few places online to get it but shipping is painful and/or I don't trust their site, and would rather spend $ on the locals.
help?!

I gotta ask....why do you need a spare? I never actually used my spare Creepy, in 4 years of competition and trail rides. I usually took it along, but it stayed in the tow rig or on the trailer all the time. (that's not to say a spare isn't a good idea, just not nearly as likely to be needed as with most other tires)

I have a spare Maxxis Trepador. I don't have it mounted on a wheel, and I don't take it with me on trips. I've run Maxxis tires for several years on hard terrain and have never needed a spare.

Thanks for all the responses. I noticed the Maxxis is an awesome tire and it just about holds my jeep up without any air in it at all. I guess i'm just used to having a spare. I plan on doing golden spike on Tues at Moab and that's a long way from civilization if anything happens...
Since i couldn't find a Maxxis i ended up getting a 36x13.50 Irok which is the same height. thanks again

Just curious, are you going to drag that thing around with you, or leave it on the trailer?
