I just got a 2005 Ram 1500 4dr and it has 265 70 R20's on there and are chrome and shiny and i don't like it. Im looking to replace the wheels and tires but want to make sure i kind of stick to the same size of tire. I have Googled it and used tire conversion calculators and read and i keep getting different answer on what my tire size is equivalent to in size (32's 33's 35' ETC). One site is saying a 35" i have read that it is a 32" and another place is saying 32.99" so almost 33" can anyone help????

There's your answer. No two tire manufacturers tires will measure out the same, even though they may say the same on the sidewall. Take some measurements of exactly what you have now, then go shopping.

you could always get out a tape measure... :hickey:

Thanks guys for the replies. I just figured it was easier to ask from the warmth of my house then to go out in the snow and wind to measure...lol I guess when spring decides to come back i will measure them:D

X2 I've seen alot of tires that are different sizes when they're supposed to be the same:)

I guess we could do this with a little science...

Metric tires show width in MM / % of width for sidewall height / rim size (in inches)

so 265mm wide / 70% of width = 185.5mm ~ 7.3"

so 20" + 7.3" +7.3" (two sidewalls for total height) = 34.6" tall

Which still doesn't show what a specific manufacturer actually makes their tires. :hickey:
