not sure on "goat trail" but here is some stuff from a couple months ago on "old ward canyon"

how do you get to old ward canyon?

I was up ther last Saturday and the trail was completely dry except for at the end and it had heavy run off. The snow is towards the top of the mountain. With the temps being in the 80's before the weekend I'm sure it will be fine.

I went up and looked around last saturday too! I went up to the snow line, then came back down through Ward Canyon. It was a good ride. When I came out of Ward Canyon I ended right on the eastern end of the parking area by the "B"

It looks like there are established routes and good signage.

Was it ever "adopted"?....

Yes, it was adopted by the Wasatch Cruiser Club. They have been trying to work with Bountiful City to improve the parking area, but it has been an ongoing issue.
