Wheeling in Logan

Two part Question;
1. What is the name of the two trails that (I believe) the Utah Four Wheel Drive Association held an event on this past year in Logan?
2. Does anyone have directions or grids for these locations?

I'm going to go crazy if my only options to wheel fairly local are 5 mile pass and AF Canyon! :ugh:

The two trails that they used are providence canyon and millville canyon. Prov has some pretty good rocks in the "quarry" and can be about as hard as anything. The first part if the trail can be pretty tuff as well, but not un-doable. Millville is easier but has great scenry (sp) They both end up in the same spot so it makes a great loop. Mt logan can also be reached from both and also has great views!
Here is the link to the descriptions from a link at u4wda about prov.

Both of these trails are really easy to find.
Hope this helps. :)

Prov Canyon has to be my favorite trail thus far. I did Like Fin's and Things in Moab but my fav local trail is Providence Canyon. I haven't done RS/Con but it will happen one day :).

I need to get up to Logan and take a drive... I miss the rocks.

just don't come for about the next two weeks or so. they have prov closed down while they put in some water culvert (sp).
We should put something togeather for the first part of july...whenever they decide to shoot off the fire works, (usually a different night from when they do them in the slc area so you can see both if you want.) evening\night run up providence to mt logan to watch the fire works.

Look for details in the next issue of our newsletter, the Compass. It should be mailed early next week. Also watch our website for more detailed information soon.

looking forward to hearing more about the summer convention!
just heard on the radio that they will be shooting fireworks here in logan on friday july 1st.
So that is the night we'll be going to Mt Logan via providence canyon.
I like to start at the bottom at about 7 or 7:30. That gives you plenty of time to mess around in the rocks and still have a little time to cook\eat dinner up top. :)
