where to go for ribs in the valley?

Want to get some suggestions for good bbq ribs in the valley, and please don't say Famous Dave's.

I have passed this place many times and keep thinking I need to stop and try it but my wife likes El Matador and I like Mo Betta

R&R BBQ on 4th west and 6th south SLC

I tried R&R and it didn't wow me - didn't seem like anything I couldn't get at Dickies or Famous Daves. Kaisers on 300 west came highly recommended, but I was thoroughly unimpressed with their ribs - huge bones, no meat, very chewy. I do like Pats though.

You must have hit R&R on their worst day ever. Most days I'd rate them just very, very slightly higher than Pat's. I'm more into the brisket than the ribs though.

Pat's is still the king for me. R&R is good, but not as good, at least the one time I tried them.

I really like Sugar House BBQ. Its on 9th east and 21st south. The beans are soooo good too. I like it better than R&R for brisket and I've never had the ribs at R&R (too much $$$ for lunch and haven't been there for supper.)

I haven't gone to Pats still but I super dig Sugar House so thats where we go when we're feeling BBQ.

pats seem to always be burnt and dry ,best is smoking bones only thing missing is to serve beer (no liquor license)

As a big bbq ' myself... I haven't been to impressed with sec bbq... R&D has been the best so far
