So what is the deal with the White Rim this year!?
Does anyone know if they have repaired the damaged sections from this years flooding?
I know that they got the mineral bottom switch backs repaired, and then a few weeks later a lower section in the more or less flats was washed out, about 100 yards long, and deep. Does anyone know if they have fixed it, or built a work around, or even just plowed a road through the damage and leave it be?
I know of a few guys who road their motorbikes through, which is what I want to do, but I understand it took a lot of work to get the big bikes through it (which I have a fairly huge bike) and those guys had more experience than I do.
I REALLY want to hit this trail before it snows down there, but.... yeah....
OH and NO I do NOT plan to camp on the trip. I feel confident that I can make the entire trip through on one tank of gas, in less than one day on my bike.
When the time does come I would happily welcome any other riders. I am sure I am not going to be trying to MX my 432lbs bike around, but other than that I plan to go fairly fast through the road.
Photos are seen on these two links.
