Mostly because the original body mounts will likely need replacing and a 1 inch body lift will not be very obvious.

I believe I was around $150 by the time I got done.

No, why? They have plenty of droop in stock form for a mild rig like you are talking about.

I read that they can bend easily, not that I plan to be dragging them across any rocks. Do you know if there are replacement bushings for the stock ends available?

Do you plan on banging them into rocks? I wouldn't be to worried about bending the lower control arms unless you're planning on turning this into a rock crawler. For a mild wheeler/camping rig the stock LCA's are more than sufficient. But thats just my opinion. Don't get too caught up in what the internets are saying is weak this, bad that, modify this. Pick one up, throw the OME stuff you have under it, pack it up for a weekend and see how you like it. Modify as needed. Out of the box these were pretty capible rigs for what you are saying you want to use it for.
As for stock replacement parts, check RockAuto or even Jerry Seiner here in town. They are supposedly an authorized Isuzu parts and repair center.
