I don't know who that is aimed at, but I grew up in the cold war and it certainly is not me. I was the one hiding under my 2nd grade school desk waiting for the "big one". I can give credit where credit is due, I think Reagan was a good president. Back to my point, "Red Dawn" sucks!
1: Lame premise :Russians paratroop into unknown Colorado town for unknown reasons all the while bypassing our stragetic air defenses somehow.
Rednecks save the world by laying on grenades and pissing in radiators.
2: Horrible acting.
3: I hate Patrick Swayze

Whatev! They attacked that particular town as part of their strategy to control the passes in the Rockies. They slipped in undetected, disguised as commercial charter flights, same as Afghanistan. Didn't you pay attention when Lt. Colonel Tanner was explaining all this?

You guys don't even get it. The whole reason we won the cold war is beacuase of Red Dawn and its accurate interpretation of the future. They saw the movie and after seeing what a wuss like Patrick Swasey good do to them..(Yes I have seen Roadhouse)They gave up
I agree with your assessment. However, I think it was C. Thomas Howell's portrayal of a tough-guy that really scared them.
It wasn't aimed at you . . . just a general political comment.
I'll give you points 2 and 3 . . . put I fervently believe that if given the chance, rednecks can conquer the world.
This is why we have given them Wrestling, NASCAR, and Beer . . . keep them busy so they don't organize.
