I have and love six states drive lines they have been through hell and no problems at all. We have them on at least 6 rigs we go with and none of us have had problems. Sorry to hear you are.

I've used Six States drivelines on my XJ and on my 'Jeep' and have had NO issues whatsoever to date. I use the Salt Lake shop and Eric takes good care of me.

I just got off the horn with one of the big wiggs and the shop. They told me to bring the driveline in and it will be fixed to my standards. I was wondering if a E-mail would work. This will be the last I use them.

Now I have to pay for fuel to get out there. man $3.39 a gallon for diesel:eek:

Does anyone need some hauled out to them form out here or from them to out here. I guess I will make a hotshot run.

I have a 16' 10000 GVW trailer. so someone order something and I will bring it out to you for the cost of fuel, anyone?

Tom has always been fair with me. I had an experience with 6 states in SLC about 5-6 years ago and have since never gone back. I did buy a set of used axle shafts from the Orem location and felt I was treated fairly. Other than that, I've bought all of my drivelines from Tom and a couple random joints and adapters that I needed in a hurry at GRS in SLC.

I've had one driveline built by Six States in Orem about six years ago and it has worked great.

I've also had a bunch of work done by Kevin and Kent. They're a little rough around the edges but they know their sh!t and are willing to help a guy out. I've been there a few times after hours or with a rush job and they've hooked me up.

My only experience with them was not a pleasant one at all.

I needed my pitman arm bored out when I bought Badgers Tera high steer kit. I called them and they said they could do it for $20 to show up towards the end of the day. I debated buying a rheemer to do it myself, but I didn't want to wait.

I showed up as they instructed me too and got me right in. They pulled the pitman arm off, bored it out quickly and THEN put it back on and test fitted it. Imagine my surprise when the TRE fell in the hole - they bored the hole WAAAYYY to big and I'm not sure what they were thinkign! Since they used a high power impact gun and beat it on, they had a heck of a time getting it off - even broke a puller.

Nows where the visit really went south. They tried to push me out the door with a non driveable rig! I started bitching and moaning and they finally went to their scrap pile and pulled out a stock TJ pitman arm and reemed it out correctly - this time he reemed, test, rheemed, and test. Imagine that...

So now it's all done (4 hours later, their closed and only the two assholes remained) and I went in to pay the $20 and the asshole actually tried to charge me ~$170 for 4 hours of labor and a stock TJ pitman arm!!! :mad2: Needless to say I pissed and started bitching about it. He was very pissy as well complaining that I was cheating them. I had to keep reminding him their incompetence f'ed my rig up and caused them to take 4 hours to fix it. After about 30 minutes of yelling at each other, I tossed the $20 bill on the counter and walked out with him cussing, yelling and slamming stuff on the counter.

I've never been back, nor will I. I don't give a rats ass if they are the last shop in town, they can kiss my ass.

I've already had a similiar type of experience up here at the Six States in Spokane. I called looking for an ARB part and the asshole actually refused to order it and started going into a speach about how ARB has screwed them - I thanked him for his time (while he was still ranting) and hung up.

If you think it's Six States, you might be right, but I couldn't tell you one way or the other. :D

I think I will get a shaft from them just to spite this thread. :D :D

Kevin and Kent are great guys....They taught me A LOT!!!! They may be the mullet twins, but....

FWIW I have broken shafts from Six states, GRS, and Tom, but have been treat well by all three too!!
Useless factoid: GRS was and I believe still is owned by Gaylons son. Kevin and kent have been known to moonlight for both Gaylon and GRS....

***** and moan, bith and moan...:greg:

That sucks. I had them ream out a pitman arm for me, but I didn't have the tie rod end to fit it to, so they grabbed one that supposedly matched what I had at home, which of course ended up being too big. I came back with my TRE and a new pitman arm, and they took care of it for free, somehow ruining a couple reamers in the process (they wouldn't bite and became dull really fast).
