Wednesday Angie will be leaving IMC and going back to her parents. She has been in the hospital since Oct.12th. First LDS hospital then IMC Nov.2nd. Angie has had 2 surgeries on her trach and is doing well with the recovery. Her speech is coming back more and more. Oh and she's walking!!! Angie walks several times a day with a walker. (According to U docs that would never happen again.
) She was the first patient to us her room here plus the first to use the cool overhead crane in the therapy room. IHC ROCKS!! IHC has done nothing but found solutions to her problems. Unlike the U. Plus the fact that Angie is now walking/sitting up/ moving around. Little by little Angie is getting off the neuro meds. Her feet have had BOTOX shots plus will be casted to help flatten them out. UNFRIGGEN BELIEVEABLE!!! Status of transplant still has to be figured out later.
