Hey first post from the new 'puter!
Finally remembered my isp password;)

More Questions:

Way does my second HD not show under "my computer" but if I go into the hardware manager it is there and working properly?? I just what each drive (2 internal, 1 external) to appear as just hd's....C, D, E or whatever. The 250 interal shows up as does the external, just not the 500g internal....

And back to this....How do I "backup" "mirror" "ghost" or whatever my programs from my laptop to this one? I do not want ALL the crap from it, just about 6 of my programs....I can use the external hd if needed....

THANKS

Edit: PM/email me if it is not forum appropriate

You have to initialize, partition and format the drive

Run this

%SystemRoot%\system32\compmgmt.msc /s

Go to disc management and it should wizard you along, if not locate the unprepared drive and make it active or something like that
