Just a quick thread to get this started. Feel free to share your stories from this weekend.

HUGE thanks to Gil, Jeff, and Eric and the rest of the desert rats and UPLA crew for putting this on.

Weather was perfect, rigs ran good, and ran with some of friends and made some new ones.

Quick report: (I will try to fill in more details later)
Friday ran Double Sammi with Gil and Mike. Fun trail, medium damage. We had a broken t-case yoke, broken pitman arm, couple of blown beads,

Saturday I tail gunned for Pkrfctr on plan B. Above average damage. We saw someone endo on the dunes (some one fill in details here I just saw the rig after it was back on It's tires), spun axle housing on a 2012 JK(he jumped it on a climb), a couple of ARB/ selectable locker hiccups, a ring and pinion, main leaf on a front spring pack (mine :( we c clamped it. Broke out the bailing wire and ran a ratchet straps to the front shackle to hold things together and drove it out:))

over all great weekend lots of very cool people, the raffle and BBQ were great.

That sucks. Got any pics of the trail repair? You ran the ratchet strap between the c-clamp and the front spring hanger?

i have a.great pic but I can't seem to get it to the thread from my iPhone. It might have to wait until I get to my desk top.

I run a shackle forward traditional cj suspension with some mild tweaks. So we hooked the front shackle to the frame body mount just behind the rear spring hanger with a ratchet strap to prevent the broken spring from walking forward and sliding out from under the bailing wire.

Hopefully that makes sense. It worked great. We were pretty much done with the trail when it let go and I drove all the way out through the dunes and such with no problems.

Super fun weekend! First day we ran Arrowhead Canyon. Second day pulling on the first obstacle in Sandthrax the motor let go. :( Still had a great weekend, and is always fun to see old friends and meet new people.

Great weekend for sure. We ran plan b, Milt's mile, plan b, Milt's mile (not a typo), maze, end of Sliplock, double Sammy. Had a bad battery in a TJ, broken d44 rear shaft, LCA mount ripping almost all the way off the unibody, broken 8.25 rear shaft (me) and that was it. Not bad for how many rigs were with us. Fun times! Being back to work sucks!

Didn't see you Nate. If you saw us you should have stopped and said hi. We had an eventful trip. Blew two trailer tires. Spent the weekend trying to keep my sons tires on the bead locks. Got em second hand and they welded spacers on em. That kept the ring from clamping down on the tire bead tight. Sucks to find that out on chain reaction half way up. Watched Colton wheel his new rig. Didn't realize his dad was Jerry. We had a great time and would like to give props to the whole crew that put this on!!! Great job!!!

Saw you guys in the parking lot while we were rushing up to meet some friends on double Sammy Saturday afternoon. Tried to wave but you guys weren't looking. Wish we had time to stop and chat, your son's rig is soooo low and awesome.

I led Double Sammy on Friday and had a broken front brake line, broken front tcase yoke, broken front axle u joint, broken bead, and a sidewall ripped out. Other than that, no problems. Everyone drove/limped out.
I led Milt's Mile on Saturday and had a few cases of rock rash and a broken hub.
"Tralimo" was unscathed both days, and I really enjoyed all the people I met out on the trails and at the fairgrounds. What a great bunch of people to go wheeling with! Thanks especially to the RME crowd, plenty of entertainment. :handlebars:

I completely forgot about the ujoint on the early model bronco.

You and Mike did a great job in that trail!

I did the fluffy stuff. Hit up West Rim on friday and then Milt's Mile Lite on saturday. I really need to get some 35s on my JKU : / just seems like expense after expense after expense keep eating into my lift/tires budget. Nevertheless, great run, got some great pics i'll post up later tonight. I'll echo the thanks to the desert rats for putting that on, got to meet some great folks!

So in trying to get this rolling I forgot to mention how great it was to see Steve and the early model bronco guys! It was fun to wheel with the same guys for a couple of days.
