I'm wanting to go wireless in my house. I have 2 desktops and a laptop. The laptop is already set up for wireless so I'm guessing I just need adapters for the desktops and a router whats the best/cheapest way to go?

Do you have Qwest DSL yet? The standard wireless routers work just fine depending on how close you are to it. Plus the 2 wireless cards for the desktops.

I have comcast...not sure what the neighbors are running but seems pretty quick. Anyone on here got the hook up at comp usa or somewhere it's hard for me to justify $180 for the apple and would like to stay as cheap as possible.

I would get a linksys wrt54gl. They are $63 at newegg ($53 after rebate). You can plug your desktops into them via a cable, and then wireless to your laptop. So you should not have to buy any more equipment. If you want to wireless to your desktop you will need a network card for them. I have had good luck with the USB cards because you can move them away from the box and get a better signal. Also with the wrt54gl there are "mods" for that router that give you more options. :)

I work at MacDocs. I think that we have a few of the older version Base Stations (no 'n', only up to 'g') for $129. Come in and ask for me (Stephen) and I'll see what I can do.
