The SuperCar you can build yourself...
http://www.factoryfive.com/gtmhome.html
The Factory Five GTM.... basically a kit car that uses Corvette parts with a Porsche trans-axle for a mid-engine monster. It weighs in at 2,350 #'s which is more than 1,000 #'s less than a new 'Vette. Full tube chassis that's Tig welded, you build it up from there. LS7's make 505 HP... could you imagine that much power in a car that weighs less than 2500 #'s... with a mid-engine, helping plant that power to the rear tires?
They claim 0-60 in 3 seconds, 11 second 1/4 mile times, 200+ MPH, etc. Price of the kit is $20k... you add a wrecked Corvette for the engine, suspension & braking, then a Porsche trans-axle.
Factory Five says you can build the car for around $30k... That's not much at all for a car that can pick off much, MUCH more expensive cars!
