Wix tranny filter issue

Have any of you had the problem with a wix tranny filter splitting open? I have been using the Chrysler factory filters and my first attempt with a wix and it failed causing awful shifts.

I have always been a big fan of wix, perhaps this was just a bad unit?

BTW: This was in a 545RFE.

WOW!! I have never seen that one before and pretty much all I ever use are WIX filters. Well NAPA Gold, but those are WIX.
