Reading ksl and came across these stories that make no sense to me
First
High school student slices off fingers in shop class
WEST VALLEY CITY -- A high school student is in the hospital after slicing off two fingers while in metal shop class.
The Granger High School girl was cutting a piece of metal with a saw Thursday afternoon just before 2 p.m. when the injury -- which is believed to be accidental -- took place.
Granite School District spokesperson Ben Horsley said the student was awake and alert, but in a state of shock.
The girl's mother was called to the school, after which she took her daughter to the hospital.
Your kidding me? the girl hacks off her fingers and they call her mother to the school and she takes her to the hospital??? Why on earth not call an ambulance?? lets wait 20 min for mom to get here while the girl sits and bleeds like crazy so mom can take her to the hospital.
I mean come on for reals that is ridiculous if it was my kid and they made her wait for me or her mom to take her after hacking off fingers i would be ticked they didnt call for an ambulance!!

Provo man pleads guilty to killing aunt:
Prosecutors charged 23-year-old Damien Candland with aggravated murder in connection with the death of his aunt Amy Candland. Her body was found last year in Hobble Creek Canyon.
"Part of the agreement was for him to go to prison without the possibility of parole
Damien Candland admitted to aggravated murder when he killed his 41-year-old aunt last February. Charges of rape and obstruction of justice were dropped as part of the deal.
Wow thats a great deal " I will plead guilty to murder" spend the rest of my life in prison but i want the minor felony rape charge and the super minor misdemeanor of obstruction drop! phheww its a good thing he wasnt charged with those no body wants to go to prision for life with a misdemeanor on your record
