So I'm in Afghanistan still, and we are building our buildings at night now. So we go to the late dinner about halfway down the base road from us.. along the way, we see a line of cars up ahead, and flashing blue lights. "hmmm accident?" No, DUI checkpoint. On a dry base. In Afghanistan. At 12:30 on a Thursday.

So we get run through, and ordered out of the vehicle, the dog goes in, etc. I'm first up, blow in teh thing, and say, when it beeps, "Surprise! It's zero point zero zero! Imagine that." Grin. The one girl smirked, but the other was not amused. So what.
We are in a secured area, badging in and out of everything. Not the kind of place drinkers congregate LOL not to mention: it's a dry base. You get tossed home if you get caught. So the likelihood of ANY drinkers being on base, muchless driving, is low. ;)

I was amused. :D And the army uses the hot chicks to run the checkpoints, with about 50 studs behind them, all pissy-looking hahahah

there is an army reg out there that says they have to have everyone one remote bases do at least 2 piss tests a year... maybe they decided to have you just blow in the straw instead of let her watch you fill a cup... lol

They actually had a couple DUI's there back in '04 right before I got there. It's kinda crazy but the contractors can get the booze on base and the Hot Army Chicks that ran the gate into the bomb dump I worked in always had booze. No DUI's out of that situation though.

I have been to dry areas where we made our own stuff. Then we had a DUI and it hit the fan. At another location there was a shipment that came in that the shipper put a few bottles into the shipment as a morale booster. There was lots of questioning going on with that one. I was in a vehicle accident while deployed (dry area and on base lockdown) and I had to have a breathalyzer. Then there is the TCNs (third country nationals) that have been known to smuggle things into country / onto base.
Sounds strange but sometimes there is more going on then you know about.

Yeah it is definitely If You Ain't Ammo You Ain't S__t

I don't know what this IYAOYAS(If You Ain't Ops You Ain't S__t maybe?) crap is, but it's borderline copyright infringement, we are the only ones that can call ourselves S__t.
