Maybe all those so-called celebrity crackpots who have been threatening to leave for years, will finally do so... Of course the $1.00 Italian houses being offered, are real fixer-uppers.
Ya, but if the property is free then you're ahead...plus things are cheaper in Europe. Better access to better food, better healthcare, better schools, more personal freedoms. All the things that we tell our citizens exist here ;)

I've spent considerable time in Italy, and all over Europe. I am always glad to come home.

My closest neighbors family legally immigrated from Italy, they regularly visit the family members who still live in Italy. The neighbors like to visit, but they are glad to be American citizens. Take from that what you will.

What I don't understand is WHY these whiny so-called celebrities think anyone cares where they live. As far as I'm concerned they should shut their self-important pie-holes, and go already.

There was someone in the office that was blabbering about moving to Europe because of the election. Although there are benefits to European systems or regulations, I see the tax brackets and no public land as a massive downside. And I don't know what I would do with my safe full of boom sticks....

I don't understand. Are you asking for insight for why you don't understand why you care so much about these people? Or why celebrities think people care where they live? I can't speak for why you care so much, but if you want my opinion about why celebrities care so much it's probably because they get paid more the more their name is out there being circulated. I mean, we just elected someone who's entire business model is based around keeping his name in the media and keeping relevant by keeping people talking about him. Trump rode that train all the way to the White House...twice, so clearly some people are getting value from keeping people like you talking about them. That's probably why. 🤔

Agree but I don't think access to good craft beer is better there. At least I have had a hard time finding it.

Some of the finest crafted beers in the world are in Europe. Depending on your taste, maybe all of them.

But I would totally agree that European versions of American craft beers are pretty bad.

A lack of craft beer is a problem I'm not worried about being able to solve for myself anyways.

Nah, it's just fun to call their whiny ass bluff. They think they have a bigger say because they are famous and have more money. They are shocked to find out that we don't give a shit about them as much as they would like us to.

WW3 will not happen in my lifetime, thankfully. We are all too soft and no one wants to actually face the depravation of cell phone service, let alone actual hardship.

And I’d argue to say that it has already started. Ukraine, Russia, North Korea, Iran, China, the US ($), apparently Britain is being pulled in as “directly involved”, with other NATO members on high alert.

Chinese ships are being investigated for intentionally cutting communication cables (aka sabotage) between Lithuania and Sweden, and then another between Germany and Finland. France, Italy, Germany, Poland, and Britain are all pointing the finger at Russia and China.

“A conflict is considered a world war if it meets at least one of the following criteria:
-It takes place between multiple nations across the globe
-Battles are fought in many different locations
-The war is fought against great powers with significantly advanced technology.”

Yea, we’re there.

I can only speak anecdotally about the better healthcare. My youngest has a pretty severe disease, used to be terminal in the 50's. In the 90's average life expectancy was 16. It's now 56 because of new drugs. This means he will die of heart disease from my bad genes instead of Cystic Fibrosis. The drugs have all been developed here in the US. We are in contact with people all over the world with this disease, one guy I follow pretty closely lives in Ireland. He just got the biggest breakthrough drug this year. My son has been taking that drug for 3 years, adults in the US got approved for it a year earlier. So Europe is only 4 years behind on critical, life changing drugs.

I have followed children's hospital ratings pretty closely too, especially their pulmonology departments, Primary Children's is in the top 10 in the country and all the top 10 in the world are in the US. So I don't buy that their healthcare is better. Don't get me wrong, I can tell you horror stories about our healthcare system and the greed of insurance companies charging us thousands of dollars twice for the same medication, but it's still better than Europe where my kid would be years behind and those years would be taken right off the end of his life. I can't follow my dreams of being a professional hand bag designer because I have to keep a corporate job where they can't deny me health insurance for pre existing conditions, but those are the costs to get the best medications in the world.

Anyhow, Maybe after Trump eliminates elections all together and appoints himself as supreme leader, we can get some people to leave the US. I could do with less crowding in the national parks. I still haven't hiked Angels landing but would like to after the crowds die down, no pun intended.

Apparently about 77 million just recently gave a shit about the bag a celebrity is selling ha ha.

It's also simultaneously true that MANY celebrities live internationally and just don't say much about it. Probably 5x more than the ones we all hear about.

My personal approach to not giving a shit is just not even paying attention. It's such a non-issue for me that it's literally never an issue that I ever see or hear about in my day to day life. Other than Trump, who's made it so big that he's forced himself to be an issue for everyone. So I guess I do pay attention to that celebrity.

Could you imagine the outrage and spin the conservative media would have put on this if Kamala had said that stuff? lol. Trump says it, and if he does it (which I can't imagine he could) all his followers will thank him for it as they accept their government rationed food on their way to pick blueberries from Trump Farms.

Oh I don't have to imagine it. I have watched both sides ignore reality and freak out. It would be funny if it wasn't sad.
You had Democrats supporting a vindictive prosecutor who jailed tons of minorities and Republicans supporting a pro gay marriage philanderer. You literally can't make this shit up.
Elon was the poster child of green energy until he shut down the .gov media outlet. Now he hates women while simultaneously having one run SpaceX. I can't keep up with who is bad for being good anymore and I honestly don't care.

The ship left a Russian port and had a Russian captain.

Is their health care better? I figured it was the same as Canada's mediocre free wait for basic HC or pay for a plan like most do to see better doctors.
