I'm also a bit below what salary.com says I should be being paid. However, it's a good bargaining chip when you want a raise. I know my boss compares us to those rates and is trying to push the company to get us to those levels. We just hired a new guy though and in the interview he told us what he was getting at his last job and it was right at the levels listed on salary.com.

Man, I'm getting screwed according to that :D I make pretty good money but according to that I should be making almost double of what I am

I just got promoted to a Systems Analyst 3 from a 4, and the new MRP is 70k+, but I'm pretty sure I'm not going to hit it. Wont find out until June, but I was about 20K below on my last one, I'm guessing the trend will continue.

I need to work for a different company, :(

I'm getting paid a little under the median BUT it says that my job requires a bachelor's degree and 6-9 years of experience....well, I'm 22 with 1 year of goof off time at college...I do have the experience needed though, so that's why I have the job.....not too bad if ya ask me.)

FYI, the free evaluations give a national average even though it asks for your zip code or city. It's kind of hard to tell. I'd bet it you were willing to drop coin to buy the full evaluation, it would be a lot more accurate to our area.

Are you sure? For my career I get about a $15,000 difference between a SLC zip code and a New York zip code. Seems to take region into account

this is what it says:

This Basic Salary Report is based on broad national data, reported exclusively by human resource departments of tens of thousands of employers from all sizes, industries and locations. Although these numbers are based on national data, the results are most similar to the data from companies with approximately 1,000 employees. If your company is bigger, smaller or in a unique industry, we strongly recommend using a premium report to ensure the most accurate answer.

So, it says its from "broad national data" but like you saw if I enter a different location it goes up or down  so it must take into account the geographic location.
