xo skeleton cage yes or no?

Im ready for a cage, i had great plans for a full inside cage but i just got the go ahead from the wife for an xo skeleton, where would i find some idea's? samurai type idea's web sites, pics, stuff like that, lets see what we can find.

Stick with an inner cage and just try not to bang up the body on the trail. Makes it more fun anyway.

if done right i think they look good but i haven't seen many that were done right imo

Why don't you ask your wife ? My real answer is no to the exocage, they rarely look good, and they add weight where you don't need/want it. Only rigs with windows need exo-cages.

Dents add character anyway.

I freakin hate em They look like crap and ad weight where it isn't needed. uuhhhaaa wait a minute....... I built one on my truck And love it!!
Rolled it, no busted windsheild. Grind it into the rocks all day, no problem. Yeah, I agree its ugly. But thats why I named my truck the "rock troll." Cause its so damned ugly. Do what you want, not what others say they think you should do. Who gives a **** what others think about your rig? As long as you wheel it and have fun.

I dont like them on Wranglers, but on XJs and Yotas I do. It think it is just the removable top thing that seems to look weird with exos.

I'm not a fan. I'd rather have the security of a cage built to save my life rather than a cage built to save some body panels.

They are ugly, heavy, and can hang up on things.

I like a combination of the two yes they can be ugly but they work. I've built a few of them for people and they have liked them. One of them rolled three times down a big steep hill at TDS and they walked away from it ... not bad! I would be willing to help design one if you wanted some help.

On a samurai you almost have to do an exo, or else where would you sit. I did mine and I know it's ugly but it works and keeps my samurai from slowly getting smaller and smaller

Best looking Zuki cage I've seen.

Combined with the tube fenders it seems to protect the body and occupant very well!

I'm with GreenJeep. The Zuks in the above link are pretty sweet. Just enough 'exterior' to be functional, but not so much that you're like ....Uhhhhh
