This is a small target group, but I thought i'd post this here as I know there are a few local Xterra guys on this forum.. Or family of RME members.

If you are interested in ARB's new front bumper, and want to get in on a 'group buy' then this is it.

Group Buy Price: $855 WITH Fog lights included and shipping benefits

Regular prices:
ARB List Price $859.60
Fog kit $90.00 (2ea lights)

According to ARB-USA the first production run is in August. Expect to have them available mid/late September.

Shipping:

No cost on shipping to SLC. Cruiser Outfitters will be discounting shipping from SLC by $25-50 off. Shipping rates as follows:

From SLC UT to:
West Coast (CA,NV, WA, OR) - $100
Mtn States (UT, CO, AZ, NM, MT, etc) - $125
Mid West $150
East Coast (NY. SC, NC, FL, etc) - $175

Add $25 per additional bumper to same addy in any area. It works well to find a buddy in a local club that you can split shipping costs with. Or, if we have a few orders coming from one area we could ship them to one location to save the buyers shipping.

NO DEPOSIT NEEDED. Just call Kurt @ Cruiser Outfitters to get on the list.

*Minor modification to existing OE bumper required for the finished look.

Added info

About the OE bumper cut:
1. Appearance-essentially the shapes used at the upper section of the bumper are very complex. It may be possible to build out of steel, but it would add substantial cost without significant benefit. Further relating to this we could move the bumper up further on the chassis, but this would create a very narrow "wing" (the outer sections of the bumper) and would look poor proportionally.

2. Strength, moving the bumper up further would alter the loads on the brackets and compromise the airbag compatible aspects of the crush zones accordingly by moving the bulk of the bumper above the chassis rails.

3. Diminishing returns- Essentially, the bar is designed to offer exceptional front end protection, a good winching platform, and airbag compatibility while enhancing the appearance of the truck. We're pleased with the look of the finished product and don't believe that altering the height/shape to eliminate cutting the bumper makes sense as it would compromise the entire structure without really improving the outcome on a functional level.

Other Info:
Packed weight of bar is about 150 lbs, deduct the weight of the bits that are taken off the vehicle when fitting, the crash bar, crossmember and lower bumper so subtract about 15-20lbs. So weight difference when bare bull bar fitted to vehicle is about 130-135lbs.

The opening for RFL is standard and there are aluminum hawsers that support synthetic rope and suit this opening with hole offset. Delrin rollers may be the optimal choice due to the winch inset of the bar.

The approach angle is 38degrees and will be similar to the stock bumper with 32" tires, though the bullbar gives substancially greater clearance underneath as the lower front edge of the OE bumper sits much lower.

There will be a template for cutting the stock bumper and the process will be quite easy.

The stone tray from bull bar to OE sump guard is 2mm and has formed holes to give greater strength and allow air flow.

Radiator skid plates have been talked about, but nothing is really in the works at this point.

Now this might be a dumb question since this is a nissan group buy, but maybe could a cherokee bumper be thrown into the mix? I assume they would come from the same plant/shipping etc?

We should be able to accommodate other bumper styles. What year is the Cherokee?

I've spoken ARB's Sales Manager about the Xterra bars, and he has confirmed that the off-tool sample for the 05-08 models is correct and ready to go.

BUT

ARB still needs to fit the bumper to a 2009 model. This next week there will be a test fit done in Seattle to determine if the 05-08 Xterra bar will/won’t fit the 2009 model and/or if ARB can simply adjust the bumper or template, or if ARB needs to create a complete new bar and part number for the 2009-10 models.

By taking this extra step, ARB will be able to satisfy more customers by having one bumper suit more years, OR by informing everyone now before they come out that the bumper will only fit 2005-08 models. ARB is doing their best to avoid a situation where a customer might order a bumper that will not fit their vehicle. They are holding off production of the 05-08 bumper until they can confirm if any changes need to take place on the current bar to have it fit the 2009.

The bumpers for the Pathfinder, Frontier, and Suzuki Equator have all gone into production and will be available in September.

Also, The group buy will end on Friday August 28th. Please PM me your information (Name, Address, and whether or not you will need the fog wiring kit). I will get in touch after that point to gather specific shipping/billing info and credit card numbers(or you can call/email them into Kurt if you'd like as well.. Just reference the group buy)

****UPDATE****

ARB has confirmed today that the bar will be the same thru 2009 models, and there will be some amendments made to the fitting instructions, as the grille of the 2009 model is just a little different than the previous years.

These will now be scheduled for production and delivered to ARB-USA as soon as possible, but that probably won’t be until October at the earliest.
