YJ shackle questions

I was on the Hole in the Rock trail this past weekend and broke a front shackle [stock one] on my 92 YJ. A spare tie down strap got me off the trail. It has a 3.5 Skyjacker lift.

What are the pros and cons of using a replacement shackle that adds 1.25 inches of lift to the front and rear springs?

Suggestions on best manufacturer for replacement part?

Does anyone know of a towing shackle for the front that provides some lift in addition to be able to attach a tow bar to it?

Thanks

The problem with lift shackles is that they get in the way when trying to go up ledges. Shackles that add 1.25" in lift would be 2.5" taller than stock ones. Personally, I have shackles that are about 1" taller than stock, and I run my tow bar off of my bumper. Not a fan of the tow shackles for a few reasons: too long & they scare me.

I am going to have to get extended shackles to fit my waggy springs, they are hitting the frame when I hit a bump...should I try boomerangs? or just extended? Tim
