yj wiper problems.

i picked up an 93 yj for my cousin. it has a little problem with the wipers.

i am not realy familiar with yj's. so hopefully someone has some suggestions.

the wipers work fine untill you turn the headlights on. with the lights on every time you turn the left blinker on, the wipers turn on and wont shut off till you shut the lights off and turn off the vehicle.

is this a bad turn signal switch?
is there a simple fix for this problem?

It might be a short between the turn signal and wiper wires in the column. If his YJ has delay wipers you could try bypassing the delay module and see if it has any effect. Sometimes a wiper module can do wierd things.
It turns out that the YJ and the XJs use the same delay module so if you need one come on over I have plenty.
