Anybody got one and a vin plate?

What do you need it for. You can have the DMV issue you a new one if needed. Just have to have a good reason for needing one.

Built from scratch. Not trying to do anything illegal or nothing just picked up a tub with no title.

Then go to the DMV and they can issue you a vin number from what I understand.

Yep, DMV should be able to issue you a new vin. You will have to have it inspected either by them at the DMV or by an officer BEFORE getting a new vin, then they will issue it to you and you have to have it inspected again after to verify it was placed properly. If possible, the easiest and quickest is to drag your project with you down to the DMV, otherwise it will take a couple trips.
