HAVE 85 4 RUNN R,4 cyl 5 spd an 35'' tires. What is the common (best) gear ratio that has been run in this set up

I ran 5.29's with that set up it seems 4.88 = 33", 35" and up = 5.29's

I was really happy with the 5.29's, it returned my speedo back to normal and ran highway speeds great!

A buddy of mine also ran 5.29's in his and had no problems at all.

Yep, go 5.29's, cause sooner or later 35's won't be big enough and then you will really wish that you had the 5.29's.
