Well I figured I would start a thread on my ramcharger. I am hoping it will kind of motivate me to stay busy on it. I have been working on it for about 2 years. The tear down started with me hydro locking the motor. After that I tore it down to the frame dovetailed the tub sanded it down and herculined it.

Then came the motor and axles. I rebuilt the 440 just a stock rebuild and sold the d44 front with ARB and the holley truck avenger. Found a d60/14 bolt rear in colorado for a decent price so took a road trip. I ended up paying about 1000$ including gas for the combo with 4:56 gears a spooled rear and ORD crossover steer set up. In the mean time I also picked up a gotpropane.com kit and a hydro ram for hydro assist.

I was working on the front dovetail and got a hold of some free 3/16 steel used for plating dumptruck beds. Its suppose to be abrasion resistent. So i decided to go ahead and do my boatsides now. So the rush is on to finish the boatsides and cage before ejs. Here is a couple more pictures of the mistress. My wife named it that I don't care for the name but everyone else is calling it that now too.

Lt I have actually been on here for a while. I also met you in Moab a couple of times. I have just been dragging my feet about posting it on here.

Well got some more progress done today support bars cut and tacked in to place. The upper bar is 2x4 3/16 wall and the supports are 2x2 1/4 wall. I think it should hold up good. now its time for some miller lite.

I think I remember. I always enjoy seeing someone build something that is out of the norm. I will be watching this closely so I can get some ideas for my pile.

Well made a little progress today got the plate cut and set into place. I about killed myself tring to get it into place by myself. I finally tacked a chain to the inner side and used the engine hoist. I will have to get some help from my dad to get it in place better. I will also be filling all the gaps in with smaller plate.

I think that is one of the reasons I decided on building a ramcharger. I just wanted something different I know different is not always good but its been fun.

Out here in moab tearing it up. The ramcharger has done gold for its first outing. I need new tires pretty bad and one of the fenders rubs a bit but overall I am happy so far. Still alot of wheeling to go though. I think we will hit rusty nail today.

Well we are back from moab. It was a great trip. The last couple of months before moab was a blur my dad step brother and I put alot of work into this thing. I could'nt have done it with out them. The're is a couple things I need to fix/change but it did way good for everything we did to it. I love not being in my dailly driver takes alot of stress off of me and the wife. I ran into Ian from extreme 4x4 and got some props from him which made my day.

Cheston I was hoping to see you I want to check that scout out in person.
