I did a couple of the mods on it. I installed a High Flow coupler. I removed the head to drill and tap it and one of the Allen heads stripped out so I had to drill the head of the bolt off.

I searched all over for a metric Allen head long enough and the best I could come up with was a stainless Phillips head. I had to grind down the outer edges to get it to fit in the head.

Since I had a Yamaha pancake filter lying around I decided to cut the top caps out and use the filter.

Lastly, it fits perfectly into a pack out container.

I ordered this 4 way fill hose to go with it.

That's good to know. I ordered the EZFlate one a couple of weeks ago and want something sturdy to put it in. Great find!

I liked the EZFlate because it has a built in pressure gauge so it automatically stops at whatever you set it at. I tend to get bored and wander when my Jeep is airing up so this makes it easier.

I already have a four-way hose system I made a couple of years ago. I used Flexzilla 3/8 inch hose on everything. I also bought enough hose that I had enough ends that I didn't have to use any hose clamps. It does take time to roll them out and then in but overall I think it's faster.

Hi all. I'm a little late to the party. I visited Greg on Thursday and we talked about his projects. That led to compressor talk for my truck camper build.

So, I'm back home in Denver and picked up my compressor today and just ordered all the extras.

Now I'm about halfway through this thread!

I'm thinking about using this 90 amp circuit breaker for the compressor on my C10.

Thanks, Greg. I'm glad we decided to do dinner and visit the shop or I'd probably never learn about this and spend too much money on a Viair or ARB.

The hose, relay, and pressure switch came in today. Waiting on an NPT tap, 4ga jumpers, 4ga butt connectors, grease, quick connects, and breaker.

Guys, where does the small red wire go if not using an on/off switch and just the ignition-on for power along with the pressure switch?

I've not started the mod yet but had several videos saved for reference. Don't know if this is the part you're questioning (the following few minutes)...

Edit: Worked on it more today. My tap is delayed so I worked on the wiring. The small red wire is just 12vdc+.

I powered it up with the aftermarket relay and was getting 12v when the relay was powered on. It must be just for powering the board. I capped it and tucked it into the heat shrink.

Thanks, but no. I tossed out the circuit board and have the stock red 6 ga positive, stock black 6 ga negative, and a small-gauge red wire, maybe 14ga or so. It was soldered into the board but I'm not sure what it's for.

I'm going to hard-mount my compressor with an ignition-on wire and a pressure switch.

I wired it up and installed it in my toolbox. I have different needs and uses compared to you rock crawler guys.

I used 4 ga wire, 120 amp relay, 100 amp circuit breaker, a toggle switch, and a 90-120 psi pressure switch. I installed two auto-quick-connects, opened up the ports a bit. Still running stock filter and inlet caps for now.

Power comes from an ignition-on 12V source in the fuse block.

Grabbing an air tank from FB marketplace this afternoon.

Going out right now to seal the exit hole in the box. I forgot to do that.
