$700, 7 hour drive, $120 in fuel to get a rear axle that needs a full rebuild and is missing brakes is definitely more effort than I’m interested in at this point. But I do appreciate you sharing the link.

I picked up those gears today they looked to be in fantastic conditions still. I pretty much had my mindset on 488 no matter which route I go so while gears aren’t super expensive this was still a bonus thanks again for posting it up.
I need to buy a top for this thing. JEGS has a pretty solid deal on a spice denim top with discount code about $550 to my door. I really want black but that will run me about $150 more. What’s everyone’s thoughts? Will the spice look okay or should I spend the extra and get black?

I think spice looks good as well. I tend to agree and even think it looks “right” on a red Jeep.
However, if you’re set on black i’d spend the extra..lol

I want to be as cool as @N-Smooth too so I went ahead and ordered the spice top. Now I need to get my butt in gear and finish the body work on the doors and paint them.

Another vote here for spice. I love the aesthetics of black tops, but in real world use, the spice would be nicer.
