Yes, the vin scanned must match the registration. In MA emission test is not require if vehicle is 10+ years old, but I know they still connect to obd2, my guess is to get vin info

With stuff like this you really just need to get under there and figure out how to make it work. How are we supposed to know if those cats will fit in the space between your transmission, frame rail, and belly pan? We’re not there. Everything that is unique to your jeep (and everything is) will effect your exhaust system, which is why I suggested earlier to have an exhaust guy build it.
Appreciate the reply. I ask just in case someone on here had to deal with these cats at some point, or similar size. You never know until you ask, plus many have the same engine, trans, frame configuration etc, so it's not that unique. Exhaust shops want $2000+ to put one together, to me that's cash I can save, after all it just welding up some pipes. There are a few exhaust builder kits around with different bends.
When I bough the jeep, it came with a new, not installed 2.5" tubing dynomax super turno muffler, and the rear tail pipe that is also 2.5".
Was thinking of using it, and building the exhaust system with 2.5" tubing all around so that I dont have to bend a new rear section.
What are the benefits of running 3" pipes after the Y pipe ?

Not enough to matter. If what you have fits, run it. It will keep some back pressure and low end torque. Unless you've done major power adders and tuning on that 5.3, there is no need for bigger.

Does it sound like a V8 at all? I like it quiet also but not too too quiet, a like a little exhaust note.
Almost finished building the exhaust, 2.5" pipes all around, and go my rear driveshaft shortened. I went with no cats. I don't have the o2 sensors on. I need to get the o2 bungs, drill the holes and weld them in.
I got to more the truck for the fist time. I noticed a long delay moving in reverse. I would accelerate, and the response is just very slow. Moving in drive seems okay.
What could it be?

I'd start with checking trans fluid while it's idling.
I checked and it is very low. Can the fluid be added through dipstick?

Yeah, it's not easy but thats how it's done. You can usually find a small funnel that'll fit into the dipstick tube.

You should install your driveshaft and check clearance with your crossover tube. My rig is fairly low to the ground and my driveshaft rubs, had to put in a bumpstop to prevent full crushing.
