I am having a moral dilemma

I'm a 5:1 DT/TB patron. I greatly prefer the Taco Bell mild sauce over. So I go once every few months and beg/borrow/steal as many mild packets as a I can with one of their box deals. I enjoy but lament the box and get TB in (and out) of my system for the quarter. I then enjoy that sauce with Del Taco BCB w/Green Sauce and chicken soft taco's periodically for the next few months. I do miss the TB encharito.

Speaking of... has anyone been to the OG Del Taco in Barstow? It's worth the visit. They have special menu items and the "original meat seasoning recipe not shared with the franchised stores"
Yes, love the Barstow location, it’s rad. I always like to see dirt bikes and atv’s there too.

I always found it funny that Taco bell employees were all white teenage kids when every hamburger joint you needed to know Spanish to put your order in. If that doesn't tell you something, I don't know what does???

A funny thing happened on the way to lunch yesterday...

I was off work, and the wife was at home sick. Early in the afternoon, she began having a craving for another one of those Taco Bell "Lux" boxes, and she asked me to go get her one. Yes, dear, you are sick and I will be glad to bring you whatever you want. I drive a couple miles up the street and, for the first time in over five years, step inside a Taco Bell.

It felt awkward. The menu screens are all new (of course), there are computer kiosks for ordering, the wall decor is different from what I last recall, etc. I see a few logos talking about their special 'Decades' menu, featuring previously-deleted items from the '70s, '80s, '90s and (I think) 2000s. Two of these items--the Mexican pizza and the Meximelt--are the very reason I quit coming here back in 2019... and now they're back, at least for a limited time. Maybe it's fate talking to me, telling me I ought to grab some lunch for myself as well. Okay, what the hell.

And that is how/why I ate Taco Bell for the first time since August 2019.

Team Del Scorcho for life. I do like TB Mild for nostalgia though.

I actually hoard scorcho and have it on my eggs sometimes. My 9 y/o is a fan of that too.

Solid meh from me. I’m a mild guy. I like to taste the food, Del Scorcho and similar sauces cause hair loss.
Weellll if there is a knock on del scorcho it's that they turned it into their mild sauce about 15 years ago. The hot sauce is del inferno, but the flavor isn't as good.

I concur. Scorcho has a great flavor and isn’t even spicy to me.

This reminds me of a ward fall fest party when I was first married. They did a chili cook off and I won. My secret recipe was 5 cans of Nalley Chili and probably 50 packets of TB mild sauce.
That was probably the last time I was in a TB. 20+ years ago.

Funny you should say that... my last trip through there we noticed this restaurant across from Burger King on the South end of town.

Do tell?

This was my last visit there on my way to LA. I even bought one of their t-shirts.
