I have a 68 with the 225 v6 buick engine. I got a sm465 np205 to toss in, but it didnt fit the hole mount on the bell housing. It is just a bit small. Should I just shave it off till it fits in? Thanks,

Should I install the gears on my 14 bolt myself, or pay someone to do it? I figure I could get 2 installs myself for the same price as someone putting them in for me.

Thanks I See what you are saying about welding it on. No I do not have all the tools for the job. Just your usual garage stuff.

Do you guys do your own R&P installs??? I have never done one. And am going to give it a shot.

hmmm yeea, the only thing I could think of was bolting the cover. Too late, already cut it.

I am wondering if 1/4 inch is thick enough to weld on the shaved diff? I hear people use 1/2 inch, but is that needed? any one?

i would I didnt have a welder when I did mine, and it needed to be street legal, If you have a welder, Make it nice:)

I am welding up my gears this week. any pointers, or anything I should know? My plan is to weld it up good and tight!

Anyone want to teach me the ways of regearing my 14 bolt? I have it tore down. Am shaving it today. Also going to weld the spiders. I dont really have the right tools to make sure she is set up right. I live in woods cross and will come to you. Let me know Thanks, Riley
