    Mud Drags Schedule

The races here in Boise at Pleasant Valley Raceway are always good. We don't have the Open class very often because those guys require a lot of $$$$ to show up. The Soda Springs race is the biggie race for us personally. They have some of the fastest rigs in the west show up each year. Most...

    Mud Drags Schedule

I figured I would post this here so folks know the schedule I have listed so far for over this way. Dates may change as the tracks get closer to race time, so check back often to keep up to date. This is the link to Planet 4x4 where I have the race list going...

    Bad Dawg's Beasty

The new X and Sahara only come stock with 3:21 gears. You can upgrade to the 3:73's and I think the 4:10's may be available as an option but out of the box only the Rubicon come with the 4:10's. Without dumping a bunch of $$$ and time into the X and Sahara they won't perform well pulling a...

    Bad Dawg's Beasty

:( On my list of "mods" is all the little things that might help the engine. Nothing by itself will do much but I'm hoping that combined they will help some. As with any engine, getting cooler/denser air in, letting it breathe easier and having a better/smoother exhaust flow (with the right...

:D The 3.8 certainly is different from what we are used to. So, since I'm new to the Geep thing, How does the 3.8 V6 compare to the old 4.0 straight 6? I have heard from other Geep owners that the V6 is actually better (more HP and more torque, Plus better MPG and smoother). Power seems ok and...

    Bad Dawg's Beasty

Yup. This one's for a different kind of fun. The "Geep thing" is new to us. We never had one before. Always had Land Cruisers. It's been around 15 to 20 years since we have been out on the trails so we have a lot to learn and re-learn. We just have to remember how to drive slow :D.

The 0% ended on Jan. 2nd. :( We just made it. Right now the Full Traction Ultimate 3" lift is at the top of my list for a lift. Going with 35" tires, but not sure which brand yet. I run Cooper STT's on my dually and really like them but we aren't sure if we want to go with something more...

285-75-16 Cooper STT's on my Chevy 1-ton dually crew cab long box. A very good tire. See picture of what we haul.

    T400 Pan?

My current pan is a cast aluminum Hughs deep pan. I figure my options are going to all deal with another pan one way or the other. I don't weld aluminum so if I go the route of a fabricated aluminum pan I would have a friend here locally construct one for me. I don't think I can modify and weld...

    T400 Pan?

I was really hoping not to have to build a custom pan and hope the welding doesn't warp the mounting surface causing potential leaks. I could swear I saw an aftermarket pan someplace. Dang. edit: Here is a shot showing how close it is for me. I always pull the front end off the ground on my...

    T400 Pan?

It seems I have seen a deep th400 transmission pan that is "notched" on the front driveshaft side to give more clearance around the driveshaft in 4x4 rigs. Has anyone else seen such a pan? I have searched all the aftermarket sites I can think of and haven't found it. I'm running the th400 trans...
