JL or Bronco purchase in near future.

This ended up getting delivered yesterday.....very excited. I am now trying to figure out exactly what I bought. Turns out I can't pinpoint the lift. With all the Metalcloak parts I am thinking maybe that...but the short arms aren't the goldish color of Metalcloak stuff. It has...

JL or Bronco purchase in near future.

Got word that the Jeep was finally picked up by the shipping company. I have no clue on exact tune frame for delivery....but hopefully before next weekend. Getting excited to actually finally drive and examine it.

    Tax Credits

The big question is would the car sell for enough to make it worth it? EV's don't hold their value all that well. I am not 100% sure on the hybrids, but it has to be a plug in hybrid (small list of available qualifing vehicles)...not the typical Prius type hybrid. Also make sure you...

This. Heads on pikes out in the field. Should be quite effective

    Sprinkler system blowout help

None of mine have drains. I just like to think that I shut them off soon enough and by opening the valve it allows some water to evaporate and gives room to expand if it does freeze.

    Sprinkler system blowout help

I have never blown out my sprinklers. Usually I just shut off the water and open the thumb screw on the valve. The water will usually evaporate enough if you do it early enough (I usually do it in mid October) I have only ever had 1 crack/break in a pipe and I'm not even sure it was...

JL or Bronco purchase in near future.

Looking over AZ tax law on this, it is unique in how it handles tax for out of state residents. They even changed the name sales tax to TRANSACTION PRIVELAGE TAX. What a joke. The law deals mostly with the state's portion of the TPT, and allows a deduction to the seller's income by the...

JL or Bronco purchase in near future.

So I decided to just go through with it foe the extra money. It helped that I found out the jeep has what appears to be Metalcloak skids underneath, different skid, axle disconnect skid l...so I figure that is worth the deal even with the extra BS tax crap. Hopefully I will have it...

General Tech What did you work on Today?

Spent the past 1.5 hours fighting getting an elbow hose onto the coolant reservoir in my '12 F150 EB. These are apparently known to develop coolant leaks from the stock quick connect elbow. Mine has been leaking for a long time and I finally decided to install the Pegasus Auto kit to...

JL or Bronco purchase in near future.

This is so far the sticking point on the deal. Apparently AZ has a slightly different take on sales tax (tax privelage) the dealer is claiming that although I wouldn't be charged AZ state tax there is no way to skirt the city and county tax. They are correct if I picked it up or I...

JL or Bronco purchase in near future.

OK, well I had leaned towards the 3.6L as well. The 2.0L was peppy and the powerband was pretty smooth, but overall, I am just not confident on the dependability of it. Now, I found another one that is now in the lead....the problem is, it's out of state in AZ. It's at a dealer in...

    Purchase Regret- what to do?

My '12 F150 Screw has 20" wheels from factory and I believe only a 55 ratio sidewall. I don't feel that it is too jarring, but any good size pothole will be jarring regardless. I am on stock shocks still (150k so about time to swap) and only run around 35-40psi in my tires. I agree with...

JL or Bronco purchase in near future.

SO the wife has decided a JLU will be the vehicle of choice. 2 small reasons and 1 big reason. The 2 small reasons is visibility. With the top on, she felt the Bronco was harder to see out of and had more blindspots. 2nd small reason was the lack of direct air vents for our girls in...

    Political So now what

No offense but I call BS on that figure. Not sure where she teaches but no step salary in Alpine District is 90k after 8 years and I assume most districts are pretty close in pay scales. The only way I could see that happening, assuming I am reading the .pdf correctly is a doctorate degree...

    Political So now what

Not sure where you find this information. I assume you are talking about their annual salary based on "hours worked". We all know teachers work way more then the 1500 hrs/year that school districts pay for......but even then the lowest per hour wage based on 7 hours/day 185 days a year for a...

JL or Bronco purchase in near future.

My biggest concern with the Bronco is the tie rods and the expense up front. Finding a deal on a used Bronco is 45k+ and that is basically stock(well equipped but stock) where as a JL with lift, tires, winch can be had for that....or sub $40k stock for a JLUR. So price comes into it. I...

JL or Bronco purchase in near future.

So I may have finally convinced the wife I to buying a JL or a Bronco. I rented a Gladiator for the weekend to see how I would like it because that is what I have been leaning towards but as much as it is fine, I don't think I can replace my F150 with it, without replacing my wife's car as...

    Let's Talk Lawns

I would normally think this as well except it has done very well the past 2 months. Very green, growing at a good rate and looking awesome. It has only been in the past week or so that it started looking dry in those spots and that is with the continued sprinkler schedule and the rain...so...

    Let's Talk Lawns

I have only done the start up application right after putting down the sod...so 2.5 months now. I grabbed some GrubEx from Home Depot just now and will throw that on there. I am hoping to kill them off and then begin preventative treatments in fall and going forward....at least from the...
