    Political So now what

I would say that is exactly what @Houndoc is saying. YOUR perspective is "tainted" by your beliefs in the Trump and the Replublicans. You even basically disregard any context that lead up to the burning of cities. This is no different then the Dem's spouting their tainted perspectives...

    Political So now what

You don't like how the media paints all Republicans or Trump supporters as violent or racist, based on the actions of plenty of Trump supporters yet you want to now paint all of the Dem's as the same as the idiot actors or famous people that did it in relation to Trump. Seems a bit of the pot...

    Let's Talk Lawns

2 weeks ago I installed sod in to the backyard. I watered daily and did the first lawn mowing tonight. A few spots are brown and I am not sure why since all the grass around them is growing great. Hopefully it will grow in.

    EcoBoost

I called Tunex referenced in This Thread and was quoted $3k and another $3k for the turbos because it is roughly done in the same process. I also sent a DM to Coco after he said he's done them at his shop. With Factory manifolds, it was around $5k. Maybe there are cheaper ways, but...

    EcoBoost

My biggest issue right now is the manifold. At $3-5k to replace it's a lot to dump. My Trans has started to feel that it shifts a little hard....but I had a flush done for the 120k service (now at 146k) so. Ot sure if it is just my mind. Outside of brakes, a turn signal shift, oil...

Mental health: it’s ok to talk.

I am still friends with kids I knew from elementary school through high-school. We try and get together regularly (lunch tomorrow and a double date night last Friday) however they do tend to be a lot more spread out and I find making new friends to fill the void is hard. Not having any...

    EcoBoost

I have used a few different brands for plugs and haven't noticed a difference. The biggest thing is I read to change every 40-50k or so....that is what I have done

    Nate’s longterm tiny shop build

My garage ended up a hang out space. I don't do much beyond change my oil and the occasional woodworking or fire pit or concrete pouring in it.....but it also acts as our poker room for the occasional large tournament and darts. They can be multipurpose.

What did you work on Today; Home Edition

I'm used to the old way of linking the pics from Google Photos to other forums....doing [ img ]URL[ /img ] rarely did I have issues until the last 2 years or so. I don't know if Google changed it's permission and url linking ability, or if newer forum software doesn't work with that. I...

What did you work on Today; Home Edition

Let's try this again. I spent the weekend at our cabin in Bear Lake putting up a new sign I had made from Etsy. We rent this cabin on AirBnb when we aren't using it, hence the name. I need to add 2 more decorative angle brackets because, due to the height the T's I bought for the bottom...

    Political So now what

I think he's cooky for going to that route, but given it was Thanksgiving 2020, i did the same thing. I avoided going to my mother's house because she was older (passed since this) and I didn't want to risk getting her infected. Those that went, wore masks. Back then, it was still unknown...

    Smoked Meat is Awesome!

I don't doubt they are better. I just don't have the desire pr patience you guys do. If my dinner can't be made in less than 30 mins it's too much work.

    Smoked Meat is Awesome!

You guys all make me realize how lazy I am. No food is worth all that time and prep. I will continue to gas BBQ and have "fine" burgers. Doing all this prep sounds so horrible to me. Not to mention that meat is just too expensive.....I guess I have poor man's taste

    Shade sails

Could you use angle iron lagged in to the fascia behind the gutter? I think the biggest thing is to add some sort of spring between the lag and the sail to allow a lot of the movement to be absorb....similar to a trampoline.

Thing is looking awesome. I would've loved skylights in mine if I didn't do the storage attic. Since mine is my garage and not just shop space 😢

My first experience with credit card points/miles

My wife and I are a bit less intense when it comes to the rewards stuff..but we do use them. We have a joint Chase Freedom that we use for household stuff. I believe it is 1.5% on things with a few categories getting 2%. Every quarter they do 5% on select locations (this quarter is...

My first experience with credit card points/miles

Have they not started charging a 3-3.5% fee for it? It's very common now. Make sure they aren't because otherwise you are buying your own points at a loss

    Nate’s longterm tiny shop build

I sprayed mine. It did get the paint in the walls fast. I did back roll just lightly. I felt like I went through a lot of paint with the sprayer. When you are doing everything 1 come and don't have stuff in the way prepping fit spreading isn't too bad.
