    Crappy neighbor advice.

Costco for cameras/dvr. I bought a setup with 4 cameras and a 1TB hard drive for our shop for $199 on sale. Works great, cameras have I/R for vision at night. Can record on a schedule or on motion. Easy to connect to Internet so you can view, review, record remotely. Probably best thing you...

    What would Y'all do?

I've had a DeWalt cordless grinder for several years. One of the best tools I have. It's crazy how often it comes in handy for small jobs, especially when you don't have power readily available. Used it a few times out on the trail, lots of times to cut 20' lengths of tube or steel outside the...

    Commuter

I picked up a 98 Rav4 about 8 months ago for $2700. It gets around 28 mpg, great in the snow, and enough ground clearance to explore dirt roads. Been a great car for me to commute in

    2004.5 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins $14,750

Yeah, this is my 2nd cummins. I was stoked if I got 15 or maybe even 16 out of either one. Guess I don't know how to coast around with the engine off like the cummins owners getting 25+.

    2004.5 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins $14,750

I have a couple of guys coming to look at it today. I will post here if/when it sells. Rebates on the new truck I'm looking at expire on January 5th, so I will probably trade it in before then if I don't sell it.

    2004.5 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins $14,750

Nope, not 30 mpg here even though it is a cummins. It gets consistently 14-15 in a mix of city/highway. Around 11-12 towing (as fast as you wanna go). The 35" mud tires don't help the mpg's...I'm sure it would get better with stock sized tires.

    2004.5 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins $14,750

Thanks Greg! It's been a great truck. Hard to think about selling it.

    2004.5 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins $14,750

2004.5 Dodge Ram 2500 with High Output Cummins Turbo Diesel. I am the 2nd owner of this truck - I bought it with 72k miles on it. It has been used but not abused, and meticulously maintained. Automatic transmission rebuilt 60k miles ago with all the upgrades - billet input, triple-disc...

Power Transmission Line Through Recreation Properties

Thanks for the suggestion...it probably is a wise thought, thought it's hard to wrap my head around it actually happening. No way an appraiser could ever put a price on the lost time, opportunities, and experiences with our families that we would suffer.

Power Transmission Line Through Recreation Properties

Sorry, I re-read my response and probably came across like an @ss. I apologize if my passion for the issue felt like an attack.

Power Transmission Line Through Recreation Properties

Well, they will have a 250' wide easement. The tower structures will be 140'-200' tall. Not only that, but once they are granted the easement there are 3-4 other proposed future lines that will run along the same corridor. They have indicated that they have to clear all the trees, vegetation...

Power Transmission Line Through Recreation Properties

Unfortunately what you've seen seems to be exactly what we are facing. We get the fact that the project is needed and don't begrudge that, but it seems that the BLM is completely taking a blind-eye to our concerns, with no concrete evidence or justification to support the route that they prefer...

Power Transmission Line Through Recreation Properties

Thought I'd throw this out to my fellow RME'ers: I am a landowner (10 acres) in Argyle Canyon (South end of Indian Canyon, Duchesne County). In a nutshell, Pacificorp has a proposed transmission line project that will run from Wyoming to Mona. Pacificorp's preferred route goes around Argyle...

OBA Options for 37's and air tools

I've got a viair 450C with a 3 gallon tank on my '04.5 dodge for my air horns. It's nice because it's 100% duty cycle, but even airing up the 35's on my truck I have to wait for the compressor to catch up. Running air tools on it for doing much more than pulling a tire turns into a waiting game...

    Snowcats

Sounds good. We'll have to find a time this winter to take it out. I'm the same as you on a sled...stuck becomes my middle name. I wish I could do Moab next Thursday. I'll be hunting deer in Wyoming though.

    Snowcats

That's probably true with a stock Rhino. My Rhino is supercharged, so it spins the tracks pretty well. My 4wheeler did have a better power-to-weight ration though and definitely was better with the tracks.

    Snowcats

I'm pretty sure they do have more surface area than a powder sled. The rear tracks are 14" wide each x around 42" long (contact area). Front tracks are 12" wide x around 30" long. Total of around 1,896 square inches. Figuring 900 pounds for machine (Yamaha Kodiak) and rider puts it right around...
