    Lighten the mood

Read the tracking from bottom to top. I ordered an ABS sensor for the wife's JK. It originally shipped with DHL then was handed off to USPS. I live in West Haven, so the Ogden Post Office should deliver the package. Here is the sequence: 1. Start Whittier CA, 2. SLC, 3. Ogden Post Office, 4...

I always admire the fine stitch work and even looked at the more industrial type sewing machines on KSL. Definitely will follow along this thread

    Nate’s longterm tiny shop build

I paid a plumber to install and bury my gas line. I asked about the tracer wire and he told me it was optional. I think its a good idea, but maybe something not inspected. I also pulled a permit to get the gas line run. The inspector never checked the depth of burial, maybe eye-balled it...

    Pole Barn build - updates

Its starting to get colder outside and in the shop than I'd like to work in - does anyone have a recommendation for someone to install a heater? I'm looking at a 80,000 btu gas unit to hang from the roof truss. I already have a gas line and a dedicated circuit run to the spot, I just need a...

    Nate’s longterm tiny shop build

We did the same - ran gas line to the shop and had a firepit line Teed into it and placed in the backyard. The inspection was a pressure test as everyone else has said. The inspector didn't inspect the trenching or measure depth at all. Now actually putting in a firepit will be a project for...

    EJS 2024

Was able to get a reservation at Sunset RV. Very small place, but had an RV spot for 22-26 Mar, so I reserved it. I also joined RR4W today. Will need to complete setting up a hitch extension to be able to pull the trailer with the camper on the truck. Also need to decide which jeep to take...

    EJS 2024

Thinking about trying to make it this year. Any recommendations on a place to camp with a truck camper (prefer a place with hook ups). Would probably stick to easier trails since the scrambler is the only rig running and is not on 1 tons.

    Most Trustworthy Wheel Adapters?

I had a shop in ruin a set of spacers, but I really don't consider it a spacer failure. The shop drilled out a set of Poly Performance spacers to move up to 5/8" wheel studs. They used some sort of RTV to get the studs to stay put (highly not recommended) because they hogged out the holes too...

CJ steering shaft: Borgeson worth the cost?

My CJ came with the Borgeson steering shaft and it is a nice piece- one of the things that I don't worry about. I have no idea about the Omix piece

    Trail Mater

Met Rory at this years offroad expo. I talked to him for a few minutes and he came across as a genuine guy, not really seeking fame. He is just doing a job he loves and is taken back by some of the attention.

Fire Extinguishers; The Good, Bad & the Ugly

I know we've been discussing vehicle-mounted extinguishers; but I bought one of these for my shop and have it mounted in an easy-to grab location: I like that I can fill it with water and recharge with compressed air at anytime. I also have an ABC extinguisher available as well.

Towing a car hauler (Jeep) with a slide-in camper

I ordered a CM skirted flatbed for my F350 to go with the Northern Lite, will be here in a few weeks. There are stake pocket brackets that you can use for tie downs as well. The flat bed definitely gives more storage options

    Rot Box’s Superduty

There are some transmissions and transfer cases on KSL - hopefully you get back on the road soon. I've never checked the transfer case mount bolts on my F350 (15 years owning it), I'll check them today
