    I hate Craigslist Lowballers...

I sold a semi trailer a few years back for a few thousand bucks on eBay to some guy in phoenix. He kept trying to get someone to transport and finally asked what I would charge - I quoted $1/mile round trip - $1400 and he agreed. Like a dummy, I didn't charge him anything upfront, but he paid...

That is horrible! I wonder what recourse is available? There would be malpractice if what he was doing caused you injury, but I'm not sure if we have any rights against the establishment.

I need to be schooled in SXS's

I'm assuming you have ridden friends for extended periods or rented one? If not, I would rent a 4 seater like you want for a full day or two and try some of what you want with one. They are a bunch of fun when the weather is nice and you aren't behind a group of machines kicking up dust, but...

    Your Pic of The Day

Nice! Hasn't really caught on in North America, but in Europe, having a vehicle that will do lots of stuff, like water, plow snow, mow the sides of highways, etc is really popular and where most mogs are used. Cities here generally favor dedicated equipment.

    Suspension seat base

The mog has a suspension seat on the drivers side. It is a little lower than the typical heavy truck suspension seats.

    Coronavirus

I guess you are looking for something that I'm not searching for. I'm not sure what is confusing about this statement from the FDA: "the products can be used interchangeably to provide the vaccination series without presenting any safety or effectiveness concerns" If you simply don't trust the...

    Coronavirus

That is a bit of a stretch. COMIRNATY is the marketing name for the same vaccine. From the FDA document you linked, they acknowledge this: "The licensed vaccine has the same formulation as the EUA-authorized vaccine and the products can be used interchangeably to provide the vaccination series...

Personal GPS or SAT Trackers (or APRS options) talk

I don't see myself as a customer for a traditional sat device, but this is interesting. That is, quite honestly, awesome!

    Coronavirus

Yea, unfortunate that everyone on one side or the other is lumped together. I am a proponent of being vaccinated, but that doesn't mean I am in the same camp as many who hold that opinion. Interesting take on Delta's approach and might be true, although 75% of their employees were vaccinated...

Not at all! I am a bit surprised by the divide, but I understand the differing opinions.

    Coronavirus

I knew this topic would bring a storm of opinions, and honestly, that is good to the extent that it can be reasonably discussed without personal attacks. On the discomfort with the term new normal, I think it is a bit Pollyanna to think that somehow the world is going to go back to the way is...

    Coronavirus

It will be interesting if they can apply the "health risks" clause to elective choices going against generally accepted health care recommendations. I guess they could just restructure it and charge everyone $200 more and then offer a $200 credit to those who take the recommended choice, saving...

    Coronavirus

So as far as corporate responses go, I like Delta's approach to encourage employee vaccination. Instead of mandating it, they will begin charging unvaccinated employees $200 more per month in health insurance. Their statement is that the hospitalization of unvaccinated employees over the last...

    Political So now what

I do think we should be out of there, but this obviously wasn't the way to withdraw. Talking with a friend who served a tour or two there, he is very angry with the army and men in general there who wouldn't even stand up once we pulled out. It has to be doubly frustrating for anyone who has...

    SLC to Denver and Back

Ouch! I thought I had seen that everything was opened- just reduced lanes. I guess I-70 is out!

    SLC to Denver and Back

Taking a last-minute trip to Denver later this afternoon returning tomorrow. I will be going in a pickup truck and returning towing a 14k dump trailer. I have no real preference for route, so I will likely take Hwy 6/I-70 there and I-80 back just for variety.

    Wanted Heavy Duty Trailer

Thanks for gathering the info - I'm going to have to think about that. I did my calculations of what it would take to get 1000-1200 lb tongue weight. Based on my assumptions, I'd have to overhang the tongue about 3' if I put it on forward and it would hang off the back about 5' if I back it on...

    Wanted Heavy Duty Trailer

This may be even handier since I will need to dump stuff too. I was thinking a dump trailer would be even heavier than a flatbed... I guess I need to figure out where the excavator would have to sit and how far it would hang out the back on a 12-16ft dump trailer or on RockChuckers

    Wanted Heavy Duty Trailer

Assuming a bumper pull? I'm not sure if it would work. The machine is only 16' long folded up, but most of the weight is concentrated in 7'. I guess I need to get my calculator out if I don't want to do trial and error. Is this a standard Big Tex/PJ/Bubbas or something? If not, and you get...
