KJ liberty used a cable shifter to accuate the nv231j. Teraflex used to offer a kit based on those parts. But truly if you pulled the whole shifter and tcase side from a junkyard kj you'd see it will easily adapt to the TJ shift handle since the majority of the assembly uses the same parts.
I would feel pretty confident about welding a nut on there. Peen around it. Repeat until the broken stud is out. I broke one on my 1999 about 15 years ago when I was swapping a cracked exhaust manifold and we did this.
Also easy time to replace that wasted motor mount 😀
Luke work on bikes? LOL
Probably Southpaw, or the fact it sat for 2 years probably the seal failed then we rode it around his backyard and mixed it up.
I did have to do the clutch too. The frictions glued themselves to the steels.
Oil and water don't mix.
ORLY?? 🤔
I wondered why the clutch on the bike I just bought for my eldset was sticky... Luckily water pumps are easy to rebuild.
I'm about 80% Kobalt hand tools, the convenience of Lowes 1/2 mile away is too much for me to ignore. I feel like they're the most slept on brand out there, Project Farm and Torque Test Channel routinely rates them super high. They're very very good value for the money and lifetime no hassle...
I was really worried about immigrants coming and taking my job.
But then I realized I'm a stay-at-home dad.
So the ball is kind of in my court on that one.
