What vehicles to avoid buying, teenager style.

As someone with 3 daughters with learners permits I feel your pain. Currently they are set to drive a 2004 Toyota Sequoia just so I don't have to buy something. However there are 3 of them and one of them is moving down to Snow College next fall. I've been looking at a Rav4 but most under $6k...

Good to see everyone, even if I was just there to supervise the last lug nut. Went over to Ashtons after for a burger after, it was a bit of a detour but worth it.

    Record Snow pack, floods next?

Got an email about flooding preparation and there was some statistic about you are 3x more likely to be affected by flood than fire... My 3x evacuated for fire house questions if it doesn't apply to me.

    Political So now what

People fail to realize regulation costs money. Laws cost money. Used to work for a bank and the largest most complicated system wasn't for keeping track of your balance, it was for compliance to regulation.

    Record Snow pack, floods next?

Went up to cache valley to see my folks, sardine canyon is crazy, snow almost to the top of the deer fence, I think my folks still have a foot + of snow in the yard. Could get interesting if it warms up.

    Your Pic of The Day

I had a 5.25" floppy I got from a conference that I kept in my cubicle. My parents had some they were looking for a drive to read them years ago and by then technology changed and we couldn't find a way to read them.

    How to build a Taco?

Rock sliders and drive it. E-locker preferred when purchasing. I think stock tires are about 31" (265/75r16 or 265/70r17), 285 series don't require as much clearance and are friendlier to a stock setup. On my first gen I had to use some wheel adapters to space it out enough to clear the upper...

Your views and opinion on Titan Trail Trekker II

Gallon of gas is 6 pounds according to google. So extra 60 hanging off the back of the jeep. I think Jeeps are usually tail heavy anyway, I see a lot of lifted front tires vs back so is that a concern?

Dan from http://theroadchoseme.com/ used one when he went all over Africa, I don't know if I've seen one on a Jeep locally. My thoughts, does the fuel go in, sit there for 6 months+ and then get used? If you're rotating fuel at least once a month I wouldn't expect issues.
