    Kayaking or other water "sports"

Ive got a Wilderness Systems Pungo 14'. Its a Touring/Recreational Kayak. Its "capable" of doing open ocean paddling. Id love to take it to Puget Sound or Vancouver Island and see what it can do up there. East Canyon, Pineview, Smith & Morehouse are all good places. Lily Lake is the only lake...

    OBDII Scanner Recommendations

I use the Torque app and a OBDII dongle off Amazon. Works well for quick code retrieval and very basic data with numbers behind it. Anything in depth Ive got an Auto Engenuity setup that runs through the laptop. I probably only know how to use 5% of it.

    Tilt trailer

Another thing to consider is a lot of car haulers will run a tongue box to store straps, bottle jack, lug wrench, etc. With that hydraulic ram there it really hampers youre options for storage. I saw the list and they do a few things that are quality. Powder coat everywhere. The center support...

    Tilt trailer

We had our entire tilt deck Rhino lined except the wood deck. A good bed liner is your best option for rock chips. Its held up well for 22 years except for where the paint it was applied over underneath has pealed away from the metal which takes the bedliner with it. You definetly get what you...

    Tilt trailer

Seems gimmicky and I dont see any benefit other than price. It would suck to have to pump that ram every time I wanted to unload a car. Id rather carry ramps than sit there for five minutes pumping that thing. Weve had a conventional tilt deck purchased from Lone Peak for over 20 years. Only...

Artec Apex raised track bar bracket question

Awesome. Thanks. Now that you said it I went and looked at their old track bar bracket pictures. They show the diagram in that version.

Artec Apex raised track bar bracket question

Welding up a bunch of Artec stuff on some JK Rubicon 44s. But I cannot figure out where this piece goes. Their site doesnt show anything other than it floating in space. And not many Google images of the APEX version yet. Any ideas? Going to feel dumb if its obvious.

Spaggyroe's scratch built early Bronco build.

Ive got the Centech in mine. Its a good harness. Just seems a little dated for any modern Bronco. But the Painless is costly and doesnt even come wrapped. So you have to dump more money into an already expensive harness.

Spaggyroe's scratch built early Bronco build.

You going with Centech or Painless for the wiring harness?

    Steel prices

Were you doing aluminum tread brite diamond plate or steel diamond plate? What were the prices? Id like to do steel on my tilt deck.

    Steel prices

The scrap metal guys who advertise they will take your scrap away on KSL are charging $20 now just to show up.

    Coronavirus

This weeked we went to La Costa (really good Carne Asada) in Sandy off 94th South, and Mekong Cafe on 72nd for Thai. Google often isnt updated with who is accepting dine in customers.

Spaggyroe's scratch built early Bronco build.

The way it sits here it almost looks like a caricature from the animated film cars. Killer build. My EB is a 69 as well. Amazing how much crap you have to pump into them just to make them somewhat modern. Let alone fight rust issues.

    Coronavirus

Anyone been to a dine in restaurant yet? Had sushi at Sukana in Jordan Landing last weekend. All the employees were obviously wearing masks. But none of the dine in guests had them on. About 50% of the take out customers did. Its been nice to sit down at a restaurant again.

    TIG Talk

You need to clean aluminum with a SS wire brush. Better yet a brush that never gets used for anything else other than aluminum. Theres an oxide layer that forms on aluminum that needs to be removed. Then wipe it down with acetone.

It doesnt look like your pieces were properly cleaned before welding and it contaminated the weld. Maybe im not seeing it though.

    I hate Craigslist Lowballers...

That number pulls up plenty of info off Google. But the name associated with it isnt Chris. They bouncing it off legit numbers somehow? I get robo calls all the time. Sometimes I miss them and call the number back stating someone just called me from this number and they say they never called...

    Becoming better prepared for emergencies.

I think people concentrate too much on storing a shit load of water. Go buy a good quality filter system with a couple replacement filters and some water storage containers. Ive never seen any major lakes or rivers here completely dry up that theres not a source of water to pull from in a real...

I just opened a Roth IRA, and am ready to invest in the stock market

Hopefully FLR continues to rebound. I bought a little Carnival and have tried to dollar cost average out some other stocks I had when everything tanked.

I just opened a Roth IRA, and am ready to invest in the stock market

My dad worked for them in the 70s early 80s oversees. I seriously doubt theyre going anywhere. I think theres really good long term profit to be made with them.
