    The upcoming moto ride/quick report.

My butt isn't disappointed only getting in 80 miles at all! I wore padded motorcycle shorts and still have a bruised and scabbed over butt... seriously. My tailbone may never be the same either. The ride was awesome, but I don't think I was mentally prepared to ride that fast for such an...

I don't want to speak for the group, but I am going and have plenty of room available. Might be just me with a 7 passenger Durango and a flatbed. I have been told this is a very fast moving group as well. Jared Call or text eight oh one 896 three zero four four

Time and meeting place? Mind if I tag along? I'm not sure if I can bail on work or not. Jared

    endorsement laws

I'm not reading that the same. It only mentions the 50cc limit for mopeds. Top right corner of page two states "A driver’s license and a restricted motorcycle endorsement are required to ride a smaller motorcycle and a motor scooter." I think you need a motorcycle endorsement for any...

Yeah... seem to have slowed down noticeably after that. I do exactly the same thing! Fun looking ride. I'm jealous of the riding areas you have locally in Fruita. Jared

Argh! I just saw this and it's 20 minutes from my house. Mowing the lawn in the 92* heat sucked too. Jared

    Rear brake dead

Check the brake line at both ends for looseness. My DRZ did that to me at the dunes and I later found that I just had a loose line at the caliper which was allowing air in. Jared

Your bike was a real hoot to ride! It has great, ride-able power down low and really explodes up top. I wouldn't bother with the Rekluse... just because it's 50% the cost of the bike. Also, it's really only a big deal on VERY technical stuff that causes you to stall. If you rarely find...

    The upcoming moto ride/quick report.

Russ, I'll be pulling my trailer to your house so we can just load the bikes on it when I pull up if you'd like. It's a big flatbed with ramps with room for 6+ bikes. Either way, but there are plenty of seats in the Durango and it's full of gas. Could be my turn to cover fuel anyway! Jared

    Buying My First Dirt Bike

To be clear... The street legal "S" version is detuned somewhat with a different carb. The "E" model is more similar to the kick start model. There were some changes regarding which models shard which parts one year I believe. Sorry if I've made this whole thread about DRZ's! :)

    Buying My First Dirt Bike

Mine is the kick-start model, with a listed dry weight of 248 lbs. Two gallons of gas, two quarts of oil, and two quarts of coolant add 24 lbs to that figure. Throw in the weight of a battery and starter motor, plus a few pounds of blinkers and wiring for the DRZ E and S models. They aren't...

    Buying My First Dirt Bike

I recommend the DRZ-400E or 400S. The 400S is street legal out of the box, both are electric start and pretty light for a street legal 4 stroke bike. They also have a 200W stator for plenty of lighting options. There was a guy selling one of each in Logan on KSL a couple days ago for...

    The upcoming moto ride/quick report.

Had a great little ride above Bountiful today! Thanks, Russ, for being spontaneous and heading up there with me. I sent him a text, and before long there were 5 of us heading up. The DRZ did great and the JB Weld is thankfully holding up on my radiator. The ride home to Ogden was a COLD 45*...

I will be riding on Saturday and would love to have somebody show me around. I will go anywhere within two hours of Ogden (or even the Jericho dunes), so post up your plans and I'll happily invite myself! Jared Post, call, or text 801- eight nine six - 3044

Injuries and other issues that have kept you from riding?

My heart pumps piss for you Kurt. I currently have a knee that has been giving me trouble since I hurt it at work slipping on some ice in January. It was the deciding factor on my not making the RME Moab ride a month or so back as it was particularly sore that week. I've regretted not going...

That site sells this engine for 2,400 yen. Google converts that to $24.11 USD... think I might buy a few! Jared
