So I picked up a project TJ

I have a set of new 6 or 7" flares if you're looking for some. Looks like a good project.

Jeep Speed Goat TJ, the anti-build thread

Nice work Greg. That is looking great. Now you've got me wondering about the rear seal on my Atlas. I may do a new seal there now while I have it drained and the inspection plate off.

For Sale 14 Bolt 4.10 Gearset and Gov Lock

I just removed these 4.10 gears and gov lock from the 14 bolt I bought for the new project. They look like they're in great shape and need a new home. $120. Located in Orem.

    CYJ Willys Thingy

They are Nitro Gear hubs, and for what they cost they had better come with gold wheel studs. I think they're complete, but we'll find out tomorrow for sure.

    CYJ Willys Thingy

Update time. I had to step away from the Jeep for a few weeks after Safari, because I was burned out. The complete lack of maintenance on this rig from the PO have had me second guessing the purchase since I loaded it on the trailer the first time. It's a love/hate relationship at the moment...

    Jeep JKU Build/Advice

No matter what year and model of JK you get, you should sleeve and gusset the axles if you plan to wheel it on 35s or 37s. It's just a given. I like the Rubi axles and lockers because you can direct wire the lockers to switches. Personally I would get a 2012 or newer for the motor/trans. It...

1980 Jeep CJ5; Back to the beginning

I had a 76 CJ5 with a similar hard top, but the windshield wasn't incorporated as part of the top like that one it. I've often wished I still had it. I bought the 88 XJ shortly after selling it, and then went down the rabbit hole.

    Delta Classic; class question

I'm hoping mine is actually back together by then.

    CYJ Willys Thingy

In the end I ran out of time doing the cosmetic things I wanted, and didn't get to some critical mechanical issues I knew I had. I worked on it hard the first 2 days of Safari, and didn't know if I'd have a running rig the next day. I bandaided it the best I could and managed to have an amazing...

    CYJ Willys Thingy

I bought new PRP seats, harnesses, and a new 8" Tuffy console and had to remount everything associated with them, which was a lot., I also put in a substantial amount of time straightening the dented aluminum tub, and am very pleased with the results.

    CYJ Willys Thingy

With the decision made I now had 2 months get the new rig ready for EJS. I actually started working almost full time on it to get it where I wanted it, and like most projects, very little went as planned. The wiring was atrocious, and the rig was in rough shape. I didn't have time for any major...

    CYJ Willys Thingy

Finally an update on this project. I started this post after Winter 4x4 and then made a substantial change in the direction. Surprise, surprise Originally I was going to swap the drive train over to the sexy frame I bought from Greg, and use it with the bobbed TJ tub to build a project I've...

    Update Area BFE opened?

It was great wheeling with you again Chris, and so fun to be back out at BFE. Lower Helldorado is not the LH you remember. The erosion and time have made it substantially more difficult, or fun if you will. I've got some pics and videos coming after a get a chance to breath.

    apex valves in raceline beadlocks?

Yes, and they work great. I don't think I'll ever have another set of beadlocks without Apex deflaters. One note of caution, once they're in, don't try to move them to another set. I did and squished a lock ring retainer. I have to be careful with one wheel, or the whole assembly will come off...

Wanted Jeep YJ windshield wiper linkage and motor

I need the windshield wiper motor and linkage assembly for a Jeep YJ. Mine is a 1987, but I'm sure there are other years that will fit.
