zuki q's (drivetrain and rear leaf dimensions)

The drivetrain will handle as low as you like, lower gearing = less momentum = less breaking. Graned, you could twist a couple shafts off but I don't see that happening in a zuk.

    7MGE Swap update

I had a very good experience with them but I just bought a new radiator, didn't have any work done. Anyway, they seemed to be cool and were very professional. Again, I didn't have any work done though.

zuki q's (drivetrain and rear leaf dimensions)

The one I've ridden in wasn't geared and that little 5 inch clutch (brand new one) was slipping. Just a tip, lower gears in the axle will reduce the stress on powertrain. Go as low as you can gearwise in the axles, then go after the T-case. Just my oppinion here.

    Anybody seem the "T" locker?

Hmmmm, that's interesting, I didn't know they'd released any of them yet. Just curious, do you know who it was?

    Anybody seem the "T" locker?

Ben's the one running the protetype, I talked to him about it the other day. They're just running it on a 35 but they've stuck some big ol' heavy boggers on there to test it. He said that so far they've broken quite a few shafts, and I think one lock ring. They redesigned the ring and...

    Ford engine to Samurai

Sounds like it could be pretty easy with one of the mazda 2wd transmitions, bolt them together hard-mount it in and fab up a little mini shaft to the t-case since it's divorced.

    Ford engine to Samurai

Nah, it could work. You'd just have to do hard mounts and figure out the bellhousing. It'd take some imagination though, that's for sure. The trannys in those are so small you could probably make an adapter plate, something that would bolt to your motors bellhousing bolt holes and shrink...

    shackles (leaf springs)

I think a buggy spring setup like that would be pretty cool. Easier to do too.

    shackles (leaf springs)

yeah, see that's what I first came up with when I figured that when you do that, you need at least the length of one of the short legs in the triangle. Then I realized that that was the heigth of the lift he was getting from the shackle. minus the length of the old shackle and divided by two of...

    shackles (leaf springs)

Wait a second. That was stupid. Just measure how hight the shackle is on a 45 degree angle, devide that by half, that's what you'll get. See, math's not that important.

    shackles (leaf springs)

Do this. If it matters that much to you. Take the length of the shackle, square it and detract the length from top to bottom of the shackle on a 45 degree andgle squared. Take the square root of that and that's the height you'll get plus or minus 1/4" due to the "elongating stress" (that I'm...

    One sweet tow rig

This one's my friend's and while it looks hoaky it actually does pretty well. Other than it peels out with front wheel drive. I guess Sami's don't weigh a thing so it works. Anyway, I like the looks we get. :eek2:
