    TeraFLex LCG

As far as I've seen the kit's functioned very well, they're still trying to get the joints right, they tried sealed heims that didn't work very well, they're trying Johny's that they're having better luck with, they also use vulcanized rubber bushings. Also, Tera's still trying to work out the...

Any opinions on 3.4 V6 for swap?

So far, everyone I know has switched everything back to the carb setup. I don't know why, it seems like just as much work for less performance. As far as I know, I'm the first one to try the fuel injection, there's another guy not quite as far along as I who's keeping his fuel injection...

XJ Front LCA mount Refab--staying with short arms......Ongoing

Actually, I like it all, seems like thought it through. You get plenty of flex, lots of clearance and it's plenty strong. I was thinking of the passenger side bracket weld, only you had the driverside which is cast into the housing so nothing to worry about there. I was just pointing out...

XJ Front LCA mount Refab--staying with short arms......Ongoing

I like that, I'm thinking of doing the same thing with mine. Any way you could get some more pics up? I like your creative thinking. Be carefull with removing that arm, that places twice the stress on that single arm and four times the stress on the weld at the bottom of the bracket...

Any opinions on 3.4 V6 for swap?

It had to be modified to wire into my jeeps' harness for the guages and such, they also attatch the computer connections and what not since they aren't part of the engine harness. In your case, I don't think you'll have to do it since it sounds like you have the complete harness from the car.

    Thoughts about this '85 CJ-7

Lose that ugly rack first thing. It does say there's a new trans so most likely you'll come out on top with that. If you gear the axles low you shouldn't have trans problems. The 401 isn't super powerfull but it does pack a punch, about 215 hp.

Any opinions on 3.4 V6 for swap?

Good engine, good trans, if your rig's light, and it is. They're good for 160 hp, but you can bring out about 30 if you switch to roller rockers, add exhaust and intake. I wish I could tell you how mine performs but I'm still waiting for my wiring back from Dynatech. :mad2: Let me know...

    northstar trans

Not quite true, 3.4's with 4L60E's in camaros and firebirds are 60*. Seems to me that if you could work it out it'd be nice to have with the overdrive and all. Maybe you got the two mixed up because you said you thought the Northstar was 90*?

Just curious. Why not use a 4L60E? Wiring issues?

    van tow rig?

If it were me buying a van, I wouldn't spend more than $4 K on it. I couldn't justify spending any more than that on a van. Then it would be cheap enough you wouldn't have to worry about resale, Also, if it were me, I'd just go with a 350, I know that's not a ton of towing power but it'd get...

    van tow rig?

I drove a E350 for a while, I would tow cars on a Uhaul trailer with it. It would do an easy 80 on the freeway, that's about the fastest I would ever tow anything. But just FYI, it towed the cars easily. It had a 351, and auto, don't know what the trans was. Not sure what the axle was either...

    van tow rig?

I think it'd almost be worthwhile to swap a 9" into a van like that one. For 3K and that low of miles I think you'd still have a good deal. Man, wish I had my rig and a trailer with a spare 9" and $3000 lyin around right now. I think I might know of a 9" under a armored van that you might...
