Kind of a girly question, but...

... what do you guys use to get the grease and gunk out of you clothes after some good wrenching. I've heard of throwing in a can of Coke in the washing machine, but wouldn't it be noisy and mess up the agitator? I'm just kidding, but I have heard that Coke does remove grease. I also thought...

Steering shafts, who makes a good one

My CJ-7 steering shaft is on the downhill slide (mine stopped telescoping) so I want to get a new one, so who makes a good one? I've heard a stock YJ shaft is a bit stronger than a CJ one, but I wasn't sure if it'd be a direct bolt in. I need one which can accomodate my 3" body lift...

Dana 300 popping out of low range

Should I take out the smallest, or biggest (there seems to be 3 different sizes)?

Dana 300 popping out of low range

DAMNIT :mad2: Too many shims, I kinda figured it might be the other way around. Maybe the old ones were just "broken in" more. Top of Mirror Gulch. I bounced, and my front tires kicked out a big flat rock which my rear tires came down on, and ka blam!

Dana 300 popping out of low range

Can you replace those without tearing open the case again? When I shift to low, it feels solid, like it is locking in. Also, we didn't disassemble the shifters at all, you still think that's it?

We removed 3 old ones, and installed the 3 new ones like it said.

Dana 300 popping out of low range

To make a long story short, I broke the rear output on my Dana 300, and after staying up all night a couple buddies and I finally had the Tera heavy duty output shaft installed and the case back in the CJ about an hour and a half before I was scheduled to lead a trail. I figure that's not too...

It's that time of year again

Yes, the trail will be open again as soon as the official run is finished, and yes they will be open like normal if we're not using it that day.

    EJS Runs for RME'ers

That's the '06 paper, so don't go off that schedule. We need a new/better web master

It's that time of year again

Yep that is correct. This means you must do the entire loop on Hells Revenge, you can't cut off the bypass and go up to the Hot Tubs; and you can't come in the back way (by Lions Back) to get to the Escalator quicker. It's only for 1 week, and it WILL make it less crazy for everyone. Thanks

    Moab 4x4 outpost

The Outpost rules!! And Steve (the owner) is who makes it all so good. I ordered a chromoly shaft through them, and found out it was on backorder and I needed it by Friday so I could gun at Winter Convention. Steve had them overnight it, at their expense, and I had it by Friday. Long story...

Here it comes. Are you folks ready?

This is the message we need to get out. "He [Rep. Chris Cannon, R-Utah] said wilderness designation also prevents any kind of management and is actually detrimental to the health of the land." Amen Chris, amen!

I say in the complacency/apathy range. Scary thought, but it does make sense.

    Lion's Back closed????

He'd have no chance of successfully closing Hells Revenge trail, way too much use, especially from commercial tours. Lions Back and Dump Bump are, "just obstacles, not a real trail"
