    Coronavirus

Thank you Cody and John for trying to inject some common sense into the discussion. It does not hurt to remember that this is not the first time governments have restricted travel and gatherings over disease outbreaks and yet our Republic has survived. And the more we accept responsibility for...

    Coronavirus

TRD270, No one has suggested or claimed the goal was zero COVID deaths. But we should all be concerned with a total of 60 000 and climbing. And yes, POR, you have every right to die of COVID if that is your choice. What you don't have the right to do is to knowingly or unknowingly spread the...

    Coronavirus

That supports, doesn't weaken, my claim that we can take the death count seriously. If the falsify-records to make money theory holds true, that adjustment would not have happened. I know there have also been deaths not previously attributed to COVID that have been confirmed to be, so the...

    Coronavirus

This is playing out exactly how I was afraid it would. The direct impact of the disease has been relatively minor in most of our lives, so most people fail to recognize the success of the public health precautions that have been implemented. Conspiracy theories I guess are easier to believe...

    Coronavirus

The fact that the hospitals were able to handle the loads without needing to heavily rely on either the Comfort or the make-shift hospitals can be seen as good evidence that the social restrictions did exactly what they were supposed to do.

    Coronavirus

The Comfort hospital ship was sent to treat non-COVID cases and thus take pressure off hospitals. They did not treat COVID cases. As to all those who still want to minimize the role of COVID in killing people one of the most telling stats heard was that NYC averages about 150 deaths/day from...

    Coronavirus

As of this morning nearly 51,000 COVID related deaths in the U.S., most of those in barely over a month. Yes, that is more deaths than a year's worth of traffic accidents. This is real.

    Kids Archery Gear

I will just second your idea of starting them out. Yesterday my 20 year old daughter had been out shooting her bow for awhile before inviting me to join her.

    HVAC needed

Fortunately yes. Nice lingering smell of burnt plastic and loss of some supplies from having to shut power down overnight, but not major damage and we are up and running.

    HVAC needed

Hi all, Need a bid on replacing a furnace at the veterinary clinic (existing one decided to catch fire last night, from what the fire department told me.) Would love to give the business to someone local off the site. PM me with interest or let me know recommendations ASAP. Thanks!

    Passsenger car tires

It has been a very long time since I have need to buy tires on anything but an SUV or truck. Now I have 2 that will need new ones soon. Both are AWD (Mazda CX-3 and Mazda Tribute (Ford Escape rebadged)) and I want to maximize winter traction on a long-lasting all season (no desire to swap snow...

    Becoming better prepared for emergencies.

Water is my main concern as well, especially with horses to keep hydrated as well. Looked last year into 300-500 gallon tanks then kind of forgot about it. Need to get back on it.

Shoot me a PM with the details if you please.

    Coronavirus

Does seem absurd to give money to those (of us? I may be included) still working. Focus the efforts on the ones who have lost their jobs. Of course with a $25K bonus I could buy my wife the Jeep she wants....

Jobs! Looking for a job? Is your company hiring? Post up here!

Customer service/reception position in our veterinary hospital needed ASAP. No veterinary related experience needed, just friendly with great client communication skills. Currently we have most all client interaction over the phone (clients only enter the building for euthanasia of a pet), so...

    Wanted another vehicle

So, with my daughter's unexpected one-year mission hiatus (she was returned from the Philippines because of COVID and is planning to take the option of returning to the mission field after a year at USU to serve her full remaining time). With her being around a year +, we find ourselves in...

    Quarantine Hobbies

Main project I have gotten up to date on (fortunately still have the clinic going, just a little slower) is family photo albums. 2018 off the to do list on now on to 2019.

    Coronavirus

Let's be honest, there is a lot of conspiracy-type stuff being spread related to the virus, including in this thread.

    Coronavirus

Type of health care system actual is showing to be of no predictive value in how a country fairs. At this point at least, the two that have diverged the most from initial out break are South Korea and Italy- which have very similar, government-run health care systems.

    Coronavirus

If common sense was creeping in, we would be limiting our activity and staying home without the government having to tell us to. I think we need to accept that it will be a few more weeks until trends are understood enough to look into what areas can have loosened restrictions and how soon. NYC...
