The tarp is a great idea! I have always just taken a leaf rake and boxes/trash bags with me. We always come home with more than we took out but it really doesn't make a dent in the mess others have made.

I was thinking that exact thing about the rental companies in Moab. After all, it's their livlihood at stake if trail abuse causes closures.
