You know, I work mostly with truck tires, but I have used those same irons on my trailer and jeep tires/wheels. I got mine from Myers tire supply.....It is really just around the corner from pick and pull. Somewhere near 3700 south and I think it is 7th west. Can't find the number/address...

unfortunately, I forgot my camera, so I didn't get any, but there was a number of people there with video cameras, and Thor Wixom (sp?) was there with a couple of guys. Don't know if any will show up on RME or not. Too bad, there was some cool stuff happening.

Nice writeup monkey!! Only thing I would recommend is to use a bit of tire lube when muonting the first bead, and don't use a sharp pry bar to mount them. Use a Proper tire iron (minimizes risk of damage to inner liner and bead) sorry man, I'm a tire guy.....

Wow, I was there on that trail that day, and I saw everything but the girl actually falling out. I was further back in the group. Hopefully that girl came out of it ok. Hopefully the guy got a brain after that.

you ever hear about lubricant? you ever read the warning on the sidewall of a tire? I believe it says don't exceed 40 psi to seat the bead. With the proper amount of quality lubricant, any tire will seat with less than 20 psi.

Carl, stop making shawn repeat himself....make a cut that removes a minimum amount of material from the rear, but enough in the front that it fits the angle of the hood rails. Leave the CJ grille. Just a little geometry there!

go ahead and waste your money on a milemarker. Rockmonkey has already shown you several very good prices on new warns, and you can get the m8000 (the old school winch - I might have the model number wrong) for very cheap

I'll be doing the judge thing again. Want to make all the comps, but that is unlikely to happen. I should make most of them though. Tennisee is probably out for me, unless UROC is going to step up for travel costs for the judges...

I almost rolled on Moab rim, and at least several of the people on this board have rolled on Moab rim. Don't ever underestimate a trail, and just cause someone made it through without body damage doesn't mean you will. Not trying to flame you, just making a comment.

There is some. I have a HS9500i on my rig, and I do cover it. As soon as I put the winch on my rig, I did notice that at highway speeds, the rig would run a bit hotter, but not at slower speeds. It ran hotter at highway speeds whether I had the cover on or not. As far as trapping moisture...
